Why Digital PR matters in AI search 👇 Digital PR is becoming more important in AI search because it helps put your brand into the broader web conversation beyond your own site. 1. Repeated third-party coverage can help reinforce public associations between your brand, your category, and your expertise across the web. 2. It creates more external sources that AI search systems can retrieve, synthesize, and sometimes cite. In practice, Digital PR helps expand your off-site web footprint in ways that can improve your brand’s visibility in AI-generated answers. Its impact is indirect rather than guaranteed, but it becomes especially valuable when coverage is relevant, specific, crawlable, and published on trusted sites. The opportunity here is not just getting coverage. It is getting the right coverage early enough to matter. Brands that start investing in this now are more likely to gain an edge. PS: This is one of the main reasons we’re building Finchling : to help brands and PR teams identify relevant story opportunities earlier, react faster, and earn the kind of coverage that can strengthen visibility across the wider web. 😉 Check it here: finchling(.)com

One of the biggest mistakes B2B marketers make is trying to be everywhere when they should be earning confidence. If your brand is experiencing a gap between presence and persuasion, visibility and memory, it may be time to rethink your approach 👉 toprankmarketing.com/blog/multi-cha…

@aleyda Congratulations @aleyda - this nuance around optimization for quality resources vs. pure manipulation is often missing from mainstream media coverage of this topic. Which is why it's so important voices like yours continue to pull back the fog.

👀 How Businesses Are Manipulating ChatGPT Results - Happy to see me quoted in this WSJ piece going through how companies are spending to optimize for AI search answers, and in some cases, with a manipulative angle. One thing I would have loved to see, which I see is missing from the piece, is the clarification about the difference between those who optimize brands to appear for relevant answers for which they deserve to be shown, vs those that aren't... not uncommon when anything SEO (and now in this case, AI search optimization) is covered by major publications, sadly. 🤖 Yahoo! released Scout, its new AI search engine, a few days ago, and it has, hands down, the most “open web” friendly interface compared to ChatGPT or AI Mode… and honestly, the best interface overall 👇 I’ve been comparing Yahoo! Scout vs. ChatGPT & AI Mode across answer quality, formats, and link inclusion, testing different search intents and verticals, and I couldn’t believe how consistently Yahoo! Scout delivers a more user- and open-web-friendly answer experience: * Across most answers, it features a prominent, highlighted “Read More” button linking directly to the most relevant source behind the answer. * It includes links to external sites directly within the answers, starting from the very first paragraph, often showing dozens of links to original sources (in addition to linking to all sources together at the end in a sidebar). In contrast, other AI platforms include far fewer links in the answer itself, and mostly push users to a sidebar to access external sources. * It’s honestly crazy that after so much time of complaints from website owners, publishers, and the SEO community, Yahoo! ends up releasing a far more “open web”-friendly interface in its AI platform than… Google, that has supposedly been committed to improving theirs. Although I was skeptical when I first saw the announcement, I’m more than happy to eat my words, and I want to congratulate Yahoo! for designing not only an easy-to-use interface, but one that genuinely incentivizes users to keep browsing the sites where the answers come from 👏 I really hope product managers and designers at @Google and @OpenAI take note.
