The worst capitalist brainwash is being proud of your OWN exploitation. Saying you've worked 80 hour weeks since you turned 17 isn’t a flex, it's really sad.

ITV News and the BBC referred to Omar Artan as a “Somali refugee” and “Somalia’s top refugee” instead of correctly identifying him as a professional referee. They’re shamelessly pushing a narrative about a man who was travelling for work

New Direction AFRICA
New Direction AFRICA@Its_ereko·
Because he is an official selected by FIFA for the World Cup. Top international referees like Omar Artan (CAF Referee of the Year) routinely receive diplomatic or service passports from their federations and FIFA arrangements for global travel, security, and official duties. This is standard for high-level match officials representing the game internationally. The real question is: Why did US border agents lock Africa’s best referee in a room for 11 hours, interrogate him, and deport him like a criminal despite valid visa, diplomatic passport, and full FIFA approval? Why does Senegal’s Lions of Teranga get frisked and humiliated on the tarmac every time? And why does Gianni Infantino stay completely silent while handing Trump a fake Peace Prize? This is not about passports. This is systemic humiliation of African excellence. FIFA takes our talent and votes then abandons us.

I’ve never been more disgusted by a WC host. Look FIFA will always choose a corrupt human rights violator that throws money at them in an effort to whitewash their image, but at least they organize the WC. The US is ruining the WC to brag to the world about its fascism

@KColbertReport So Il would become a significantly better state with all the downstate fucking maga morons gone and Indiana would continue to accelerate its progress to the most morally and fiscally bankrupt state in the country? Sounds like a win for the remaining IL residents.

INDIANA ANNEXATION OF ILLINOIS COUNTIES The one-sided exploratory effort by Indiana to potentially absorb up to 33 specific rural and conservative-leaning counties from Illinois along or near their shared border continues to be discussed. This stems from frustration in downstate Illinois over Chicago-dominated politics, taxes, and policies. Here’s the current status as of June 2026:Background Starting around 2020, a growing number of Illinois counties (eventually 33) held non-binding advisory referendums asking voters whether they wanted to explore leaving Illinois and forming a new state (sometimes called “New Illinois” or similar movements). These counties are mostly in central and southern Illinois. In 2025, Indiana Republican lawmakers (led by House Speaker Todd Huston) responded by passing House Enrolled Act 1008. It created the Indiana-Illinois Boundary Adjustment Commission to study whether those counties could be transferred to Indiana instead of becoming their own state. It was signed into law by Indiana Gov. Mike Braun and took effect July 1, 2025. Indiana appointed 6 members; Illinois was invited to appoint up to 5 but declined (no companion legislation passed in Illinois, and Gov. J.B. Pritzker called the whole thing a “stunt”). The commission’s first (and so far only public) meeting was October 22, 2025, in Terre Haute. It heard testimony from residents who want to leave Illinois (though not all supported joining Indiana specifically). They planned a follow-up meeting for “early 2026” but no further meetings or final report have been publicly announced or reported since. Current Status (June 2026): The commission remains in existence but has made no formal recommendation yet. No boundary change has occurred or been voted on. Even if the commission recommends a transfer, it would require: 1) Approval by both Indiana and Illinois legislatures/governors (Illinois has shown zero interest). 2) Approval by the U.S. Congress (required under the U.S. Constitution for any state boundary change). Legal experts and officials on both sides describe it as a long-shot symbolic gesture rather than a realistic path to annexation. fox32chicago.com/news/indiana-a… @MicahBeckwith @LGMicahBeckwith @GovBraun @SenatorBanks @indianagop @INGOP @INFREEDOMCAUCUS @Trevor4indiana @HeritageIndiana @Indy_reporter_ @indystar @JayStarkeySen6 @Trevor4indiana

George Floyd didn’t die because of fentanyl; that racist overdose theory was used to smear his name in court. He died because Derek Chauvin kept his knee on Floyd’s neck for nine and a half minutes. Chauvin murdered George Floyd in a modern-day lynching.

🚨BREAKING: ICE agents were caught on video telling a U.S. born citizen that his driver’s license was not proof of citizenship because “anyone can get that.” In the video, the man repeatedly told them he was born in the U.S…. In Atlantic City. He showed them his license. They dismissed it. He showed them ANOTHER form of ID. They STILL kept interrogating him about where he lived, who he lived with, whether Venezuelans lived in his home, who had been in his car, and whether the vehicle was registered to him. All while illegally detaining him in his car. And in the end… The agents admitted they weren’t even looking for the person connected to the car’s registration. So, why was this U.S. citizen stopped, surrounded, and interrogated in the first place? The Fourth Amendment does not disappear because agents “suspect” someone might be undocumented. You do not have to repeatedly prove your citizenship to federal agents because they decided you “look foreign enough” to question. Yet, this keeps happening to U.S. citizens across the country.
