@LDS_Liberty If you're referring to the more charismatic manifestations of the early Church meetings then those things gradually were stamped out. But, we still have those things just in a much personal, quieter way.

While many LDS members applaud @ThoughtfulSaint for his performance during the debate with Dr. James White, I would like to point something out. Jacob opened the debate by telling a story that he said was true, gave some horrifying descriptive details, and then afterwards said it wasn't true at all. Now, I'm not pointing out the fact that he lied, he often does, it's in his nature, but why did he? He could have given countless examples of true stories that could illustrate his point, but he chose a fictional one and claimed it was true before he told the story. He chose deception. Just think about that. That's exactly what Joseph Smith did with the Book of Mormon. This is why Christians should not debate LDS members, there is no equal footing when it comes to integrity.

Most people can't comprehend a Church actually being competent with their parishioners money OR that they actually use it to fufill their stated mission. The LDS church does both of those and it's members give willingly.

@ThoughtfulSaint This is now multiple post-debate criticisms against you Jacob of not being honest in your debate approach. It could just be sour grapes on their part or, is there anything you can learn from these interactions to leave a better, more honest impression?

I really enjoyed my debate with Dr White last night. I think I was able to expose the moral problems with Calvinist theology (as held by the vast majority of Christians) and I did not feel he was able to offer a compelling response.
After I reached out my hand and said “Hey Dr White thanks for doing this”
He looked down at my hand and told me I was reprehensible and refused to shake my hand.
I was disappointed by this. Perhaps Dr White has ill feelings toward me but I don’t have any toward him and I appreciated the opportunity to engage on the subject of Calvinism.
