I love how for years many leftists were pointing out supposed dog whistles in every statement they could find and yet many - of likely often the same - leftists cannot find any issue with someone using possibly the most prominent modern-day neo-Nazi dog whistle about Jews.

The CIA and State Department were even saying "hey uhh we have clear intelligence that Russia has immediate plans to invade and signed orders from Putin to do so", and to me this + the other evidence was enough to make reasonable people like myself think "okay they're about to invade", but for many others this was somehow additional proof it was just a conspiracy or whatever

24h hours before Russia attacked Ukraine 100k Russian soldiers were residing right at the border. Many Ukrainians that were interviewed before the attack and virtually nobody expressed any concerns. Even politicians were surprised by the attack despite Russia moving vast resources towards the border in plain sight.
I guess people are incapable of predicting things out of the ordinary even if the facts are unambiguous.

Sam's current foreign policy positions were implicit (and sometimes explicit) in the whole project from the beginning; he wanted to blame conflicts involving Muslims on Islamic doctrine rather than seriously examine the possibility that countries he likes (US, Israel, etc.) played a significant role in starting the conflicts.
