It's a mixture of the schools themselves AND parental involvement in their children's education. The schools need to focus on academics, lessen screen time, and stop passing on kids that haven't learned the core concepts. Parents have to be actively involved in their children's education, and also limit screen time.

This is so sad. Everyone has an opinion on how to dig out of this. I seriously want to hear what you think. Honest answers. No jokes. This cannot continue. Is there anything laws can do? Is society to far gone? Do we scrap the entire system and try something totally different? Tell me.

You can just admit that you don't understand what you are saying here. It's ok. The 10th Amendment limits federal power. Roe v Wade gave power to the federal government that it didn't have. Overturning it put the power back to the states where they were able to pass their own laws. You claimed that Roe was written into the Constitution, and yet have been unable to show me where. In fact, you've now admitted that Roe was the wrong ruling, and that the states actually have the power to write their own laws on the matter.

The 10th Amendment limits federal power. It doesn’t erase individual rights. The 9th Amendment literally says people retain rights beyond the ones specifically listed. And the 14th Amendment is why states can’t just violate liberty or privacy because they feel like it. That’s why interracial marriage, contraception, and same-sex marriage were protected even though none are explicitly written word-for-word either.

I'd suggest you try actually learning about the document before claiming that something is in there when it isn't.

@tlemerson72 @librarykat @mattvanswol @BernieSanders That actually is the answer. The Constitution doesn’t list every right word-for-word. The Supreme Court has long recognized implied rights through the 9th and 14th Amendments including privacy, marriage, parental rights, and bodily autonomy.

“Roe went back to the voters” is a weird way to describe politicians stripping away a constitutional right that existed for 50 years. Rights are supposed to protect individuals FROM majority rule. We don’t vote every election on free speech or interracial marriage either. And “states can’t sort citizens by race” sounds noble until you ignore the actual context of the Voting Rights Act: preventing maps that dilute minority voting power after decades of discrimination.

I have an ex friend who told our closest friends that she feels unsafe around me due to my political views, and she stopped talking to me or being around me. Now she's telling others that I've ghosted her, and she feels so badly about the fact that I'm not speaking to her anymore.

I’ve gone to the same gym for almost 4 years now. Good friends with nearly everyone there. One day a guy who used to make small talk with me, just stopped. Didn’t think much of it, but it went on for weeks. Found out later he’s a liberal and someone showed him my X account and he just won’t talk to me now. This has happened many many many times since becoming publicly conservative. I’ve lost many friends and even many more acquaintances. They won’t even discuss us. Won’t even look at me. It’s bad for me… but it’s 10,000x worse for my wife. Liberal women are genuinely EVIL to conservative women. It’s on another level. Pure evil. No one talks about this enough but the public shaming of people who are openly conservative is extremely intense and unless you have a lot of mental fortitude and surround yourself with better people quickly… I can understand why many find it is not worth saying anything at all. But that doesn’t make it harder for those of us who speak up… because we are the few.

It’s now “right wing” to be willing to talk to people who hold different political beliefs. Much of the left just cuts anyone out of their lives who questions any one tenet of the Democratic Party’s platform.

Honestly, I am sick and tired of Democrats claiming that because a majority of Virginians voted in favor of that gerrymander monstrosity that the action was therefore right and just. I have a question for Carter Elliott, IV and every other braindead Democrat: If a majority of the voters approved seizing all of your money and possessions just because they want to take your stuff, would that be right and just? People cannot vote to do things that violate the U.S. Constitution or a state constitution. This is not a new concept.

If you believe free speech is for you but not your political opponents, you're illiberal. If no contrary evidence could change your beliefs, you're a fundamentalist.
