As a kid I loved listening to the BBC World Service (on 648 kHz I think). For a 10-year-old from Chingford it was a very special window on the world. So, for World Radio Day, I play some classic @bbcworldservice signature tunes. #WorldRadioDay

@liffeystynx @AbbeyTheatre Beautifully put Jonathan. It was thanks to Derek and to Robert Dwyer-Joyce that I got my start as musician in the Abbey/Peacock with Manus and the Mighty Dragon, Christmas 1976. He'd allow us say ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

@eir Is there an Eir internet outage in Dublin? Resets and power-offs doing nothing.

Greetings all. 45 years ago today, the Liffey Light Orchestra performed the full Tubular Bells and Omnadawn. We were (still are!) contenders. ❤ m.facebook.com/story.php?stor…

@EDiamond136 Agreed. And for day trips, Belfast is hard to beat - W5, Titanic, Folk Park, Transport Museum, and the Crown Bar!

Sadly Max completely overlooked the North of Ireland….The wonderful Glens of Antrim, The Giants Causeway, The Mountains Mourne and the many hidden gems we have here in Northern Ireland…..Never overlook Ireland but visit us all 🤔👍

I met with Rachel in Happy Days last week after she asked me to give her some advice about size inclusivity - she’s playing a blinder and working so hard in that department. It was so heartening to see. Plus, the stuff she has is GORGEOUS. independent.ie/business/irish…

Shocked and very saddened at the news that the legend that is Brian Dunning has left us. Ceol na bhflaitheas go gcloisfeidh sé. Coladh sámh, a Bhríain dílis. x
