After 11 years of marriage, three days after leaving my husband, he called to ask how the washing machine worked, and that said everything, because it was never about the machine but about the invisible labor I carried daily, unnoticed and unthanked, raising children, running schedules, fixing problems, and keeping life moving while he called it “help,” and leaving didn’t break the marriage, it revealed it, his confusion becoming my clarity, freedom first sounding like silence then feeling like relief, and sometimes independence begins with one small question that finally proves how alone you already were, a lesson that lasted longer than any ring.

American is a respiratory therapist. She explains how things have gotten so expensive in America even making $32 an hour working 40 hours a week, she can’t afford life - Her bi-weekly take home after taxes, retirement and health insurance for her and her 3 year old daughter is $1,600 - That’s $3,200 a month take home - Rent is $1,400 a month (That’s below the national average) - Gas and electric average $300 - Childcare for her 3 year old. $1,100 a month Total that’s already at $2,800 just one mandatory bills “I have $400 left to put gas in my car, groceries on the table, toiletries, know, shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, laundry detergent, ah any co-pays if we decide to go to the doctor's office” If she had a car payment she wouldn’t even have any money at all left for food and toiletries

I don’t sleep with vaccinated women.
