My mom is moving in with us next week, and we’ve been working so hard to get her room ready. It used to be my kids’ playroom, and they gave it up without hesitation to make space for their grandma. The room was in pretty rough shape, but we’ve cleaned it up and made it cozy for her. Even though the room is ready, I still feel like something is missing to make it extra special. Any ideas? It's important for the room to feel cozy and safe for her to really get better. ~John Chaim

I hate making posts like this, but I’m going to: Will you pray for my dad and pray for me? Sometimes, caregiving is exhausting and lonely and I kind of hit a wall today. I keep reminding myself not to feel guilty for my feelings, but it’s a factor too. Thanks for the prayers, I’m a blessed man.

I have no clue who this guy is or what his political views are. Party aside he is telling the truth about a basic function and reality of American citizenship. These are the kind of people we need leading this country and our communities. Tough, real, experienced. They tell you exactly how it is, no sugar coating. I never say people don’t have a right to protest. I’ve lead peaceful protests and we emphasized the peaceful… we should be protesting in this country, the question is what, where and to whose end? I personally think conservatives should be in the streets everyday for any number of abominable breaches of their constitutional rights. (cough cough… taxes, secure elections). The most terrifying detail about Noah's Ark isn't the size of the flood. It is the design of the boat. If you look closely at the blueprints God gave Noah in Genesis 6, He was extremely specific. He gave the exact length, width, and height. He specified the type of wood and the pitch to seal it. In my little years, I have never thought of this, but God intentionally left out one crucial component. There was no steering wheel, no sail, and worse still, there was no engine. Think about how scary that is. Noah was building a massive vessel to survive a global storm, but he had zero control over it, or over where it went. He couldn't steer it away from rocks. He couldn't turn it into the waves. He couldn't aim for dry land. He was completely at the mercy of the water. The Ark was not designed for navigation; just for floating. Noah’s job was to be the Passenger, not the Captain. God was the Captain. This is a picture of your life right now. You are trying to put a steering wheel in a boat that God can control, if you let Him…

This is who they took from us. He wasn't blocking traffic He wasn't trying to impede an investigation. He wasn't trying to run innocent officers over. He was talking to people. He was respectful. He was a father. And they cheered. Never forget.

Bob Vylan, real name Pascal Robinson-Foster, celebrated the assassination of Charlie Kirk, and implicitly encouraged more violence by justifying murder against anyone you disagree with. I'll break this down as simply as possible. Bob Vylan's words, according to first hand video: "If you talk sh*t, you get banged." Bob Vylan is literally justifying the idea of shooting anyone ["you get banged"] who says something you disagree with ["if you talk shit"]. I've never heard of this artist before seeing this video, but presumably he has a massive following. How irresponsible and dangerous for him to utter such words to his fans. You'll notice the crowd cheers in response. This plea to "calm down" is not enough. He should totally renounce his own words endorsing murder against those you disagree with, or be completely and irreparably ostracized from society, because spreading the message that murder is an acceptable avenue to silencing free speech is dangerous and destabilizing to society. BOB VYLAN'S FULL COMMENTS: "I want to dedicate this next one to an absolute piece of sh*t, pronouns was/were, if you chat sh*t, you get banged, RIP Charlie Kirk you piece of a sh*t."

While in Arizona, one of our amazing elderly MAGA sisters invited me over for dinner. She apologized that her house was hot and her air conditioner (swamp cooler) wasn't working properly. I grabbed her ladder and had it working in 20 minutes. Her gay liberal son moved in 3 months earlier and never bothered to check it, but he makes her cry twice a month lecturing her about Palestine. He knows who I am and won't leave his room. Should I say something or hold my tongue?

Today at 2:06 PM, my beloved mom went to be with Jesus. Her love, strength, and grace touched everyone around her, and her faith guided us all. She is now at peace in His embrace. Thank you, Mom, for giving me life and for making it so beautiful.

He was born weighting four pounds, 17 ounces. He has always been a fighter and I think struggled some with survivor guilt of losing his twin. His smile lights up a room and his compassion and empathy is so incredible 💜💜 This morning he has a fever and a new pneumothorax in the right lung. His chest has been struggling maintaining good oxygen levels, so they have turned the suction for the right lung back on and turned his supplemental oxygen, through the ventilator, up. His is still heavily sedated, but last night when I was holding his hand, I felt him squeeze it. I looked at him and told him I loved him, that he is amazing, that I’m so proud of him and that we will get through this. And through all of the tubes, he smiled and I could sense he felt hopeful 💜💜. Thank you for the continued prayers. I feel a sense of peace and hope and I’m praying away all of the anxiety and fear. I hope you all have a very blessed Sunday.
