Mets Fan, Not capitalism fan. They rob the poor under the cover of the law, forsooth, and we plunder the rich under the protection of our own courage.

Abdul Carter says he will only address Jaxson Dart introducing Donald Trump one time: "Some things are bigger than football, and this is one of those things. Jaxson is one of our leaders - he's the face of our franchise. He represents himself and what he does, and he represents all of us. If he chooses to align himself with a man like President Trump, it's my responsibility based on what I believe and what I stand on to not only show my teammates that I'm against that, but to show the world. That doesn't mean that we have to spread hate. That doesn't mean that me and Jaxson hate each other or we have beef. I sit next to Jaxson every day - we're close, we talk. As long as we make sure we have the same goal as a team, and our goals align - which they do -that's all that matter. I just want to move past this."

Politico: Darializa Avila Chevalier, a democratic socialist running against Rep. Adriano Espaillat in next month’s primary election, called former President Biden “a rapist” and “a war criminal” on social media in 2020. Besides Biden, Avila Chevalier has targeted former Vice President Kamala Harris and former Mayor Bill de Blasio in her diatribes, slamming the former as “a cop” and the latter as a racist, the screengrabs show. #NY13 politico.com/newsletters/ne…

Paige Bueckers got probably the best handles in the WNBA and can't get upgraded sigs. Guess none going get updated. That just disrespectful

Already seeing media members come out saying this MLB salary cap is just a ploy for the owners to make more money, and it's clear they haven't read any of the details. This deal would effectively spread a greater amount of money among the players, and prevent teams from buying championships annually. Parity equals popularity. Just ask the NFL. More popularity means more collective money. This is basic economics, and every other sport in America has it figured out. MLBPA can kick rocks with this one.

Under the proposed MLB salary cap, the Dodgers would currently be $174.8 MILLION over the limit 🤯

Victor Wembanyama to Mason Plumlee in Game 5: “Hard fouls.” (via @ShowCaseShabazz, h/t @Fullcourtpass)

Reminder: MLB Owners are not your friends They are going to hammer home that a cap is what the fans want to even the playing field. Don’t let this fool you; these billionaires couldn’t care less about what you or I think. It’s all about maximizing profits. It always has been.

MLB Teams lost $1.8 Billion in 2025. That’s $60M per Club. By comparison? NFL Teams averaged $151M in operating profit last season. Points to how unrealistic the MLBPA opening proposal was for Owners. In seeing the proposal, I’m now more concerned we’ll have a lockout.
