New preprint from the Hernando lab! biorxiv.org/content/10.648… Combining 3D genome profiling and high resolution imaging we demonstrate how chromatin architecture cooperate with mechanical confinement in conferring melanoma mesenchymal cells high migratory capacities.

More than 2700 3′UTRs are highly conserved. These 3′UTRs are essential components in mRNA templates, as their deletion decreases protein activity without changing protein abundance. Highly conserved 3′UTRs help the folding of proteins with long IDRs. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Congratulations to Honggui, Jiankun, and Tan for improving the single-cell 3D genome resolution by a factor of 4 (to 5 Kb). This allowed direct visualization that multiple enhancers cluster to a particular gene promoter at the same time in a single cell. nature.com/articles/s4158…
