day 171 of building candle, the duolingo for relationships wanted to share another mini milestone for candle today. we hit $100k in revenue over the past 28 days, reaching this point in less than 6 months since the inception of the idea. it was not always like this. after @ycombinator, which was incredible for us and something i highly recommend applying to, we spent nearly 4 months stuck in pivot hell we tested dozens of ideas, from a reddit for fashion, ai marketplaces, and a self journaling app, to even software for the pulp and paper mill industry (shoutout Anam and Landseer hehe), before deciding to solve a problem we had both felt ourselves: staying connected with loved ones, friends, and family. that was the beginning of candle : ) i will be writing a longer piece soon on our struggles, learnings, and journey if you are curious, but for now i just want to thank everyone who has supported us up until this point. we have a lot of exciting things coming to candle in the days ahead! download the latest update below

Just for clarity the Bengals are 3rd/32 teams for arrests by players since 2000.
This idea that they’re demonstrating some sort of morale superiority by refusing to budge on this language entirely contradicts their history in the last 2 decades.
I’m sure it’s a great financial decision, and they would tell you it’s being made in large part due to the very history I mentioned.
The issue is that Shemar Stewart’s contract is the only one in the NFL with this language, and beyond that, why should he face consequences based on the actions of previous players?
