Situation is same as GST rollout…. Website & confusion was everywhere & it was implemented without any Pre prepared infrastructure /rules in 2017 and then 100+ changes took place in next several years …
Same thing happened during #Demonetisation in 2016 …everyday some new rules were enforced & how confused this government was clear for everyone to see !!
Now again with this #E20 , this government is doing the same thing…. Pushing a policy for which they never created Infrastructure or formulated any rules 😡!!
As the time passes… most of Petrol pump Storage Tanks …if not upgraded… will see the deterioration & Public will face the Consequences of this government’s Stupidity 😏

For E10 … Non-compatible older tank: there is no predictable lifespan; deterioration may start in few years… , depending on the tank’s condition, construction, water contamination, and maintenance.
If you have any doubts… you can fact check.. whether my tweet is wrong or not .

Petrol pump storage made for normal petrol starts showing problems after 2-3 years & not overnight…. if #E20 is stored in them without proper modifications.
That’s what is happening now … because most of petrol pumps across India are not made for storing #E20 & the policy was rolled out without creating proper infrastructure 😒

Let’s analyse A Crucial Question… which no one is discussing-
What’s the difference between Petrol storage tanks in Petrol pumps storing E20 & pure petrol ?
1. Tank material is almost similar- usually Carbon Steel for both
but
Difference comes in INTERNAL LININGS… #E20 storage tanks use - ethanol-compatible coatings 😒
2. Seals & gaskets -
Standard petrol uses compatible rubber for seals & gaskets.
But
Ethanol-resistant materials such as fluorocarbon (Viton) or compatible elastomers are used for E20 compatible tanks .
3. Water management & sealing is
Important for All Petrol storage Tanks
But
It’s highly Critical & compulsory for E20 because #ethanol absorbs water considerably more from the atmosphere 🤔
As conclusion we can safely assume-
Existing petrol storage tanks can be used for E20 only &
ONLY AFTER -
A) Carefully inspecting the tank,
B) Proper Cleaning
C) By replacing incompatible seals or gaskets
D) And more importantly-
By ensuring proper water monitoring and drainage. 😊
QUESTION IS - Are our petrol pumps ready…??
And … if they are not…
I can safely predict-
PROBLEM RELATED TO #E20 will aggravate with time 🤔

Lets check the dateline- which are real Facts -
Even in the early 20th century, there were periodic warnings that oil supplies were limited.
1919 (United States): Some estimates suggested U.S. oil reserves would last only about 9 years at then-current production rates.
1948 (World): Global proved reserves were estimated to last around 20 years at prevailing production.
In The 1970s —- The “40 years of oil left” phrase became 🤣
Around this period, many reports stated that proved oil reserves equaled roughly 30–40 years of production, while natural gas was around 50–60 years 😉😉!!

आप पेट्रोल में इथेनॉल मिलाने से परेशान हैं। पर सोचिए वे देश क्या कर रहे हैं जिनकी अर्थव्यवस्था ही जीवाश्म ईंधन पर निर्भर है। वे जानते हैं कि यह हमेशा नहीं चलेगा। कच्चे तेल का भंडार लगभग 45 से 50 साल में समाप्त हो जाएगा। प्राकृतिक गैस लगभग 50 से 55 साल ही चलेगी। कोयले के भंडार सबसे ज्यादा हैं, जो लगभग 90 से 110 साल तक चल सकते हैं। लेकिन दुनिया इसके खत्म होने के इंतज़ार में हाथ पर हाथ रख कर नहीं बैठी रहेगी जीवाश्म ईंधन पूरी तरह खत्म होने से बहुत पहले ही इसकी मांग और उपयोग कम हो जाएगा। दुनिया भर में पर्यावरण नियमों, कार्बन टैक्स और सौर व पवन ऊर्जा जैसी नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा के तेजी से सस्ते होने के कारण इसका उपयोग धीरे-धीरे खुद ही सिमटता जा रहा है सऊदी अरब, संयुक्त अरब अमीरात, कतर और कुवैत जैसे प्रमुख तेल उत्पादक देश इस बात को बहुत अच्छी तरह जानते हैं कि तेल हमेशा नहीं रहने वाला। इसलिए, वे तेल के बाद के युग के लिए बहुत पहले से तैयारी कर रहे हैं। इन देशों ने तेल से कमाए पैसों का एक बहुत बड़ा हिस्सा वैश्विक निवेश कोष में लगा दिया है। जब तेल खत्म हो जाएगा, तब इन वैश्विक निवेशों से आने वाला डिविडेंड और मुनाफा उनकी अर्थव्यवस्था को चलाएगा। दुबई ने पहले ही खुद को तेल पर निर्भरता से काफी हद तक मुक्त कर लिया है और एक ग्लोबल टूरिज्म और बिजनेस हब बन चुका है। अब सऊदी अरब भी इसी राह पर है। वे द लाइन सिटी और रेड सी प्रोजेक्ट जैसे विशालकाय और आधुनिक पर्यटन शहर बसा रहे हैं ताकि दुनिया भर के पर्यटक और निवेशक वहां आएं। रेगिस्तानी इलाके होने के कारण इन देशों में धूप प्रचुर मात्रा में उपलब्ध है। ये देश अब बड़े पैमाने पर सोलर प्लांट लगा रहे हैं। इसके अलावा, भविष्य के ईंधन माने जाने वाले ग्रीन हाइड्रोजन के उत्पादन और निर्यात में ये देश भारी निवेश कर रहे हैं, ताकि कल को ऊर्जा निर्यातक के रूप में उनका दबदबा कायम रहे। खाड़ी देश टैक्स-फ्री या बहुत कम टैक्स वाले बिजनेस जोन बना रहे हैं ताकि दुनिया भर की टेक और फाइनेंशियल कंपनियां अपने हेडक्वार्टर वहां ट्रांसफर करें। बैंकिंग, एआई और डिजिटल इकॉनमी को बढ़ावा देकर वे अपनी जीडीपी का आधार बदल रहे हैं। हम पीछे नहीं रह सकते। हम भी इसी रास्ते पर निकल चुके हैं। हम जीवाश्म ईंधन पर अपनी निर्भरता घटा रहे हैं। इथेनॉल मिला कर विदेशी मुद्रा बचा रहे हैं। किसानों को फ़ायदा पहुँचा रहे हैं। ग्रीन एनर्जी में लीडर बनने के रास्ते पर हैं। सौर ऊर्जा उत्पादन लगातार बढ़ा रहे हैं।

#Fact as of today is that -
Bhutan currently imports conventional petrol - typically up to E10 or lower ethanol content from India rather than E20 🤔!!
It simply means… they don’t buy E20 petrol from India as of today 😒!!
Proposal is made or got rejected is irrelevant as it’s a fact that Bhutan is not buying #E20 😡!
I challenge anyone to contradict my statement 🤓
