@TaylorLorenz @jaeporeon Taylor they have been controversial for years look at Bitcoin and RIOT Platforms, especially Corsicana. A rare L from you here.
English

@jaeporeon I don't think most people even know what a data center does, and they don't immediately see the tax revenue they might generate hit their own pocket. But I do think it's revealing that they weren't controversial until just this past year

I was at a hacking con last weekend speaking to a well-known, more experienced cybersecurity pro. He had an interesting point to make.
He said that the new generation of hackers will be far better than the older generation. Why? Because they have easy access to high quality knowledge and learning materials.
In the early days of hacking, there were very few places that you could learn about hacking, and those few resources were not anywhere near the quality of the training and information that is available today.
You can run through the Web Security Academy training for free and gain a good level of knowledge about hacking applications. When you're stuck on something, you have an all-knowing, ever-patient guide in LLMs who can re-explain everything to you 100 different ways until you understand.
The future looks bright! Get hacking 👇

Those stats aren't even correct.
I stream for 12 hours a day and the community is very much so heavily lurkers and people coworking.
On Twitch side we had 29,960 unique viewers, 11,270 chat messages, and 1,292 unique chatters. Most people just like to chill and hang out. My stream isn't some emote spamfest freakout chat and never really has been.
On Kick side I only started streaming there last month on multi-stream and exclusive on Thursdays. Most people there are transplants from Twitch and still chat on Twitch side here and there.
Everyone wants to prove someone else is a villain. Nobody asks before making accusations.

I’m so tired of seeing people try to have a viewbotting “gotcha” moment toward streamers. If someone primarily plays games, chat is most likely going to be inactive. Not saying people don’t view bot, but chatters tend to chat when the streamer is being engaging. If they’re just playing a game, odds are they aren’t being engaging and viewers just lurk. Having 10%-30% of your CCV as active chatters when you’re being engaging is considered pretty good.
I’m all for exposing viewbotters, but people need to learn statistics if they’re gonna try to call someone out.
whiz@crashoverride
📊'PirateSoftware' is blatantly view botted on both Twitch & Kick😬 200+ viewers with 2 chatters on Kick. 2000+ viewers with 150 chatters on Twitch. These are not authentic numbers.😂

@crashoverride You forgot to mention he worked at Blizzard

@apyx_fi Yes, Bitcoin demand is being diverted into $STRC as 11.5% is more attractive than owning Bitcoin itself. So Bitcoin demand is being redirected to $MSTR, which buys Bitcoin with the money it gets from selling STRC. The problem for MSTR is that it must pay 11.5% annually to buy it!

@algotradr_ @joand315 @RockChartrand @NYCMayor What about the roads you use to get to work, visit family etc. ?
English

@loreReporter @joand315 @RockChartrand @NYCMayor Funny enough I live on a private road, and we funded it ourselves.
Lmfao.

When we came into office, we uncovered a $12 billion budget deficit.
Today, I’m proud to say we brought it down to zero.
We didn’t close the gap on the backs of working people.
We closed it while funding parks, libraries, safer streets and making historic investments in public housing.
Call it Pothole Politics. Call it Democratic Socialism. It's government that delivers for the people who make this city run.
That’s what New Yorkers deserve. And that’s what we will keep fighting for every single day.

@MarshallHayner Blockchain born 1991, it's not gonna happen buddy.

@davepl1968 @ClarksonsFarm1 I think it will be interesting
English

@ClarksonsFarm1 It looks like a couple of pretentious Canadians replaced a couple of pretentious Brits.
Great entertainment sold as journalism rides on the backs of the credulous for free. Doesn't make it right.

@garyvee Ironically, you're also using fear for clicks. Think about that.

@EchoRadios If phones go down, I'm gonna use the phone towers. Yup that checks out

@DocumentingBTC This is the look of a real democratized asset. Every day, Bitcoin flies farther from its founding ethos.

@IGN I'm not reading the article cause of this obvious bait headline.

With a budget believed to be well over a billion dollars, GTA 6 will have to be one of the best selling games of all time just to break even. bit.ly/4dfFiqw

@GiveMeBanHammer Peak is just the amount of maximum players at a single time, not the total of all players.
English

Schizo time: This just seems odd to me...
There's more positive reviews, than maximum players for Mixtape. Around over 1000 extra positive review.
This is not unusual in itself, but its only a pattern you see with much older games, at least 3 years or older...like Skyrim, Left 4 Dead 2 or Elden Ring - because good reviews accumulate over the years.
Mixtape just came out, 4 DAYS ago and already it shows a pattern seen almost only from games that are older than 3 years?
This just seems out of the ordinary for me...
