You know what is even crazier? I am an board certified Infectious Diseases physician and am on my third round of appeals with an insurance company for an antibiotic my patient with a rare infection desperately needs - and I have not even spoken to a person! If we want to appeal any further we must pay a fee. This is infuriating. It’s a waste of time. And it hurts patients.

@235antz Yeah I’m not trying to say Lymes isn’t real. It’s just not the diagnosis for every vague symptom on the number of patients you see out of some of these types of clinics.

Local NP wellness, anti-vax, Lymes disease, GLP dispensary clinic saw a baby that had not had a BM in two weeks. The recommendation: see a chiropractor. I hope these people get sued into oblivion before somebody gets hurt.

@GmOrr9000 It should be mandated that unless disabled, each medical school graduate should have to practice medicine FULL TIME for 15 years (minimum) or have to refund the Federal Government for the cost of tuition.

#1 reason for MD shortage is Med schools admitting students who aren’t going to practice. Only 60% of med students today plan on practicing clinical medicine. Med Schools need to focus on admitting students who want take care of patients, not just get their MD.
