San José Mayor Matt Mahan has seen his odds to become the next California Governor more than double in the last 48 hours from 6% to 14%. He’s in second place behind Tom Steyer (53%)

The odds are better for college educated women, that’s true. But any woman who’s sincerely trying to find a traditional husband (and that goal is more important to her than her career) should not move to DC and definitely should not stay there into her 30s. For a variety of reasons, DC is the hardest place to find a husband to start a family, and literally else anywhere in the country would be better. If we are talking about the odds, 96% of DC are democrats and at least 25% of the population is gay. So this is a classic case of revealed preference contradicting stated preference. Ok next strategic step: The US military should help Saudi Arabia quickly build a new 30M bpd East-West pipeline. That’s more than enough to cover all the oil that passes the Strait of Hormuz. Let Iran know that if they don’t surrender, we’ll fill up the strait with sand and they’ll be paying pipeline tolls to Saudi Arabia for the rest of history. Should’ve been done 47 years ago, but the next best time is now. Building such a pipeline would cost less than a week of this war.

Preserving a Jewish majority in Israel isn’t the same as preserving a white majority in America. One emerged from two thousand years of expulsions, pogroms, and genocide. The other did not.

I recently gave a talk at my college on why I think AI is probably going to soon make everyone obsolete and then kill us. Around fifty students attended. I think the talk went well but the students started pressing me on why don't I engage in violence given my beliefs. The students were absolutely not suggesting that violence was the appropriate action since they didn't accept my beliefs, but they were wondering why given my beliefs I didn't engage in it. I explained that I thought violence would make the situation much worse.

A reminder that this guy lives in America where he could never get away with saying that we need to "preserve a Christian majority" or we need to preserve a "white majority" in the US. Ethno-nationalism is bad if you believe in secular liberal democracy. Let's stop pretending.
