@filippkowalski I don’t know the country but he mentions the euro price, so I guess Europe. Likely Germany (most common after US). Yes, the app is cheaper in low income countries.

It's 2023, 109 years after WW1 started, yet the pre-WW1 imperial borders are still visible on the election map of Poland - and on many others, for that matter. A thread 🧵🧵🧵-->

Some Hungarians have apparently forgiven 1956, when Soviet troops toppled the Hungarian government which Khrushchev and Co considered insufficiently loyal. Or maybe forgotten.

Roskosmos, the Russian space agency, has officially confirmed that Luna-25, the first Russian interplanetary mission since the collapse of the USSR, failed. The station collided with the Moon and is destroyed. Of course, any single mission can fail for many technical reasons; these are immensely challenging enterprises. Yet this Luna-25 was a Putin's vanity project amid constant repression of intellectuals, a war on science and education that has government waged, a war on international cooperation that they waged even before they started an actual war... In the last decade, Roskosmos has become a symbol for corruption and theft of state money. Even by official results of investigations, it was a major hub for misuse of state funds. For a long time, the Putin's czar responsible for the space program was some Dmitry Rogozin, once a Putin's nationalist rival bought off politics with the appointment as a deputy prime minister. Unable to deal with corruption and misuse of funds, he and his family benefited handsomely during his decade in the office. After being dismissed for a string of failure, he volunteered for the war against Ukraine in 2022, yet on his first trip towards frontlines got an injury in the ass while sitting in a restaurant... No, I am not making this up. Tell me - have Luna-25 had any chance to succeed? In Soviet times, vanity was there, and military goals were there. Yet it was also a wealth of genuine enthusiasm of scientists and engineers - read the excellent account by MIT's Slava Gerovitch: amazon.com/Soviet-Space-M…. They used the state's vanity and desire to have missiles to fulfill their space dreams. Putin's people, besides vanity, put the money into the space project for one single reason, to have these money stolen. It would be a miracle if Luna-25 mission was successful - Putin's people did everything to have it failed.

We, Ukrainians, are now in a season of accumulating fatigue. The war didn't end quickly. We do not see any possibility of it ending soon anywhere in the near future. We don't know what is to come. This makes us feel uncertain and gloomy. We're not OK and we realize that. And actually, I think it's good we realize and acknowledge that. You khow what helps me? - Routine. Work. I pile on as much as I can. We never know the future but we can work towards something. We can always act. There is a time for metaphysical musings, and there is time to act. Now is exactly the time for the latter. Time to act. Step by step, with no guarantees. But with faith. With reliable, proven people by our side. With Ukrainians who don't give up. With our friends and partners who did not tire. We keep walking towards Victory despite the road being long and winding.

500 days of the full-scale war. During this time, thousands and thousands of our people showed strength, glory and courage of the Ukrainian people in battles for the sake of our state. Almost 50,000 of our people have been awarded state awards. 298 Ukrainian men and women have been awarded the highest title of Hero of Ukraine. I am proud of all of them, grateful to each of them, we remember our heroes. We cannot name all the names now. We will be able to tell about some heroes only after our victory – their bravery is so special. But Ukraine will always be grateful to all of them. And please, honor our heroes! And tell your children, your friends, the whole world about them. Glory to all who fight for Ukraine! 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦

The entire discourse surrounding the potential supply of cluster munitions to Ukraine just demonstrates how to the majority of Westerners the concept of an “existential” war is so alien as to be beyond even imagination.
