Reform UK will cut your bills. If Reeves won’t do it, in our first budget we’ll scrap VAT and the green taxes and levies on your energy bill, and save you £200 a year.

EUROPA LEAGUE was never the dream. Not because I didn’t want it. Because if I’m being honest, I never thought it was possible. What kid would? Especially when 12 years ago I was playing non league football in the Ryman Premier and Conference South, just trying to stay alive in the game. What kid dreams about Europe when, two weeks into the off season, his dad has to tell him he’s been released by Watford F.C. over the phone? I was heartbroken. My dad looked at me and said: “What are we doing tomorrow?” To which I replied with the words he’d drilled into me my whole life: “We’re training, Dad.” So we trained. Every single day. My dad emailed every EFL club asking for an opportunity. One club replied. One. That was all I needed. An opportunity. @WealdstoneFC and @wwfcofficial , I’ll always be indebted to you. Then came the move to @SunderlandAFC . A massive club. A massive opportunity. And I couldn’t wait to prove myself. But 45 minutes into my debut… hooked. “Rabbit caught in headlights. Waste of money. Get rid.” Then came the Championship. “He’s not good enough for this level.” Then the Premier League. “Let’s give him a debut and then get rid of him.” I understood the doubt. I’ve faced it my whole career. And truthfully, you doubt yourself too at times. But I’ve always tried to live by one mindset: Outwork your doubt. You don’t always need to see the full journey. You just need to take the next step. Then the next one. And then another. Even when social media tells you you’re not good enough. Even when the voice inside your own head whispers the same thing. Keep working. Keep learning. Keep showing up. Because sometimes the places you end up are bigger than anything your younger self could’ve ever imagined. To any young player reading this, don’t put a ceiling on yourself too early. You genuinely have no idea where this game and life can take you. And to the boys… thank you. You removed the glass ceiling I’d placed on myself. What a team. What a club. What a fanbase. Sunderland… rocking all over Europe ❤️🤍 And in the words of Granit Xhaka: “This is just the beginning.”

“AND YOU STILL DARE TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH…” Sasha Legerman: This is too accurate not to share. This Australian’s response to Trump’s rant that “NATO does nothing for America” is absolutely devastating: “Mate. You run a country where 600,000 homeless people will sleep on the streets tonight. A country where 40% of adults can’t cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment, and people ration it just to stay alive. A country where medical debt is the number one cause of bankruptcy. A country where women die in hospital parking lots because doctors are too afraid of abortion laws to treat miscarriages. You imprison more of your own citizens than any country on Earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. In the land of the free, 2 million people sit in cages, and a quarter of them haven’t even been convicted of anything. They’re simply too poor to afford bail. Your life expectancy is declining. You’re the only developed nation where that’s happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba’s. Your children practice active shooter drills between math and English classes while you sell defense stocks to your friends. Your minimum wage hasn’t changed in 15 years. Your teachers work two jobs, your veterans sleep under bridges, and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that never attacked you. And now a convicted criminal — found liable for sexual abuse, defending a pedophile, sleeping with a porn star, and running the biggest dumpster-fire campaign since the Taliban — is thanking you for yet another disaster. And you call Greenland badly governed? Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody there goes bankrupt because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because insurance refused treatment. ‘NATO wasn’t there when we needed them.’ When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn’t even in NATO, and we still showed up. For twenty years. And then you left at 2 a.m. without telling anyone and left everybody else to clean up the mess. You don’t care that a great nation is being terrorized by your friend, and you haven’t shown it a single ounce of sympathy. So maybe before calling other countries badly governed, take a look at your own backyard, you aluminum siding salesman with a spray tan. The only thing badly managed in this picture is your damn mouth. And you still dare to lecture the rest of the world?”

🗣️ The Lewis Family write an open letter to Spurs fans confirming they aren’t looking to sell and are “all in”. “As owners of 25 years, we have lived the highs and lows of Spurs with you. Finishing 17th this and last season does not reflect the stature or potential of this football club. We are bitterly disappointed and share your frustration. “You, and we, expect more than this. We know this must never happen again. “Our approach to running the Club is, and has been, to trust the experts to do that, while backing them to be successful. “The problems we found were deeper than we realised and were allowed to build over the last few years. We know that has eroded trust and we have to win that back. As owners, we take ultimate responsibility for the situation in which the Club finds itself. “We also take responsibility for rebuilding Spurs. Our ambition is to recapture the spirit of the Club and bring back the excitement, the fearlessness and the bold football we have always felt defined us. That means football comes first. “The Board and Executive team have laid out their plans to meet this ambition. This will require investment – in our teams, the academy, our backroom functions and more - and we are fully committed to this. “We are not selling the Club. We are all in. We are investing in it. You will see more of this in the coming months. “We care deeply about Spurs. The rebuild the Club needs, and you deserve, has begun. The change required is deep. It will take time and commitment, but change is happening. “We know that actions will speak louder than words.”

🚨🗣️ Dan Burn on playing four competitions this season : "Speaking personally, I’ve found it mentally draining. I don’t think you realise the mental load it takes to play in four competitions pretty continuously. You don’t switch off at all. All of it has been at such a high level. I don’t know if it’s because I’ve never done that before, but I’ve got so much appreciation now for the elite players who do it year on year. It’s not the physical load, it’s the mental bit of going home and not being able to just be with your family. I feel like I’ve not been present for seven months." #NUFC #fblifestyle

Roy Keane on Jordan Henderson... 😬 “Clearly Jordan’s not fit - I don’t think he should be involved… I’ve heard people say they want him around the place - for what? Does he do card tricks? Does he have a sing song? Does he do quizzes in the evenings?”

🚨 NEW: Morgan Rogers is the star player most expected to leave, with the price at around £80m. Rogers is in line to start for England at the World Cup & his value could yet increase, but Villa accept they are unlikely to receive the £100m they had envisaged earlier in the season. @JPercyTelegraph #avfc

I will say one more thing on spygate before I go on holiday. I don’t blame William Salt. I genuinely feel sorry for him. Leave him alone and let him get on with his life and career. It’s not his fault and he’s been dragged through the mud in the name of Southampton football club. He was asked to do something he believed was part of his job. I’m incredibly sorry for Southampton supporters who had some joy in their life, who were proud of their club and the team for getting to the play off final. As fans we all know that feeling and why we cherish it and stick with our teams through thick and thin. Yes some reacted with defiant humour but see the world through someone else’s eyes and ask what would you have done? The blame for this scandal is not theirs. They wanted to believe in their club, their tribe and stayed loyal. That’s what fans do. They were failed #saintsfc
