The IDF said in a statement that it rejects allegations that it abused a toddler, calling them unfounded and part of Hamas propaganda. According to the IDF, the child was brought into a combat zone by a Hamas operative as a human shield. Troops encountered the man approaching their position in the “Yellow Line” area while carrying the toddler. After he ignored warnings, soldiers fired warning shots to create distance, which may have caused minor injuries from shrapnel. The man was detained and reportedly identified himself as a Hamas operative who said he brought his child to deter IDF fire. The IDF stated that once the child was in its custody, troops provided medical care, food, and supervision by a military doctor. The toddler was later transferred to the Red Cross in good condition after his family was located through coordination.

The UN? The same organization that had just invited the Iranian regime, who just slaughtered 40,000 of their own citizens, to address the human rights council? That UN? Let’s be clear. Genocide requires intent. If Israel’s intent HAD been genocide, they wouldn’t have; 1. Warned before strikes 2. Provided evacuation corridors 3. Facilitated transfer of aid 4. Risked our own troops in a ground incursion. And the death doll would have been MUCH higher. Even if you take the Hamas health ministry’s numbers at face value, aprx 70,000 dead, Hamas acknowledged 30k+ of their combatants killed. Thats a civilian to combatant ratio unheard of in modern warfare, especially in an urban environment. Thats not genocide. No matter how many times it’s repeated and used as a “gotcha” word, it’s simply not true. The death of civilians in war is always tragic, no matter which side suffers the loss, but to call the Gaza war a “genocide” is the Jewish blood libel of the modern age.

Back in December 2024, I called it in my @HJS_Org paper. Same every time in Gaza. During the war Hamas, shriek about civilian deaths; media report it verbatim. After the war, the truth comes out about the number of militants killed; media silence. Shame on the world’s media.

I took the floor again to address Francesca Albanese's report, which was endorsed by Iran, Cuba, and others. The PLO ambassador kept banging on the table to interrupt me. They gave him the floor when I concluded—see below. Mr. Chair, Everything we just heard from the world’s worst abusers of human rights is absolutely false. Now, we have before us a report that claims to apply international law. In reality, Ms. Albanese’s report abandons it. From the very first page, her conclusion is already written: Israel is accused of genocide, and everything that follows is constructed to support that claim. This is not legal analysis. It is advocacy. Her report radically redefines torture — no longer as the specific, intentional abuse of a detainee, but as virtually everything: war, displacement, fear, even the existence of conflict itself. If everything is torture, then nothing is. She goes further, collapsing the distinction between torture and genocide, inventing a theory that has no grounding in international law and jurisprudence. At the same time, she omits the most basic context: Why is there is no accounting of the October 7 massacre? Why no accounting of Hamas embedding its forces among civilians? Why no accounting of hostages held underground and tortured? Mr. Chair, Israel is mentioned 173 times. Hamas? Not even once. Instead, we are given a narrative built largely on unverified submissions, partisan sources, and selective quotations — elevated into sweeping legal conclusions. Distinguished Delegates, International law demands rigor. It demands objectivity. It demands that we test claims against evidence — not the other way around. Ms. Albanese’s report does the opposite. It stretches definitions, ignores context, and reaches conclusions first. And in doing so, it does not strengthen human rights. It undermines them. I urge this Council to reject this report. Thank you. (The Chair then gave the floor to the PLO rep, who had been repeatedly banging on his desk. He objected that I was referencing Albanese's report after the special debate on that had already concluded. But this was an absurd objection because we were in the Item 7 General Debate, which includes everything, including her report. The Spanish ambassador chairing the debate, VP of the UNHRC, failed to recognize this, and instead indicated his agreement with the PLO rep.)

The word ‘Israel’ appears 350+ times in this ‘report’, whereas ‘Hamas’ JUST ONCE, and even then, only footnote. Says everything you need to know about Francesca Albanese. She is no expert. She is the willing mouthpiece for Hamas and UN Excuser of their crimes!

I was a professor for 15 years at the University of Guelph-Humber. I said Hamas were Nazis — in a comment to a stranger in Pakistan, unrelated to my job.
