@mabmck79 @jenteach13 Yes, and that goes back to my other point. Students shouldn't be passed to the next grade/level until they demonstrate competency. If you had a 3rd grade understanding of math and were put in Algebra would you succeed by being in class every day? I would not. I would give up.

@JohnLeFevre @Cernovich It's not just because of recent immigrants. Low performance has many reasons. While immigrants have taxed the school resources. School were on this decline bore the mass immigration.

Stats say American kids are dumber than ever - historic lows in math, reading, and science. But my 6th & 7th grade kids - and all their friends - are lightyears ahead of where I was at that age. The numbers are being dragged down by mass low-skilled immigration, chronic absenteeism, and failing big-city schools.

Yale School of Medicine Has a total of 553 students across All four classes. Total Black students: 44. That’s ~10 per class. Total Asian students: 157. That’s ~40 per class. There are nearly as many Asian students PER CLASS as there are Black students in the entire school. Black: 14% of America. Only 7% of Yale Med Asian: 7% of America. 28% of Yale Med. Who exactly is getting discriminated against here ? aamc.org/media/6131/dow…

At Yale Medical School, a black applicant is 29 times more likely to be invited to interview than an Asian with equally strong academics.   Today, @CivilRights told Yale that its use of race in admissions is ILLEGAL—and that @TheJusticeDept will step in to enforce Title VI. justice.gov/opa/pr/justice…

Can somebody educated in politics explain to me how Mamdani is able to do all this stuff but no other politician is ever able to make any noticeable progress? How does he evade the same bureaucracy the other politicians always blame for not being able to do shit?

Harrison Ford: “Humanity is a part of nature, not above it. We need cultural change. We need to extend social justice. We need to respect and elevate the indigenous people that are being marginalized, and in many cases, killed in cold blood. The world you’re stepping into, the world my generation left you, is a real mess”

@Pontifex I'd be more worried about Canada physician advocating for assisted suicide option for babies born up to 1 year as an option for parents.

What kind of world are we leaving behind? Unfortunately, it is a world distorted by war and war-like language. This pollution of reason comes from the geopolitical sphere and invades every social relationship. Any simplification that creates enemies must be corrected, especially in universities, through complexity of thought and wise exercise of memory.

@KoiXShadow @jenteach13 Granted. But that doesn't apply to most students. Having a student who has a 3 rd grade understanding of math trying to pass Algebra when they only come 50% of the time doesn't work.

@mabmck79 @jenteach13 Attendance does not equal learning. Students can learn in and out of school. If a student can demonstrate proficiency while attending only 30% of the time, that should be accepted. The students don't exist for the teachers, the teachers are for the students

@tammy28x Depends on where you live. It would cover the majority in the Midwest. Not on the coasts. They can do this because it is an elite school so most applying are wealthy because they can afford the education and test prep to make their kids competitive.

@EdKrassen So teachers got students to skip class because they can't listen to a song which they never would have heard anyway since they do t go to orchestra performances. 🤣

Hundreds of students at The Watertown High School in Wisconsin walked out of school after the conservative school board, banned a song with no lyrics whatsoever from being played by the school band. The school board claimed that this song “indoctrinated students and endorsed violence”. It was “A Mother of a Revolution,” and it had NO LYRICS AT ALL.

@blockhim2026 NYC is spending 44,000 per student per year. Most expensive in tye country. With those rates, one could expect better results. But the system is failing in several of NYC neighborhoods.

🚨BLACK ‘PARENTING’‼️ Woman tries to confront a black mom about her child banging on hotel doors. It goes about as you’d expect. Black youth don’t know how to behave because their PARENTS DONT KNOW HOW TO ACT🦧 No discipline, nothing but excuses. The youth are SCREWED!

@FrankLuntz @BradWilcoxIFS Don't worry. They are doing nicotine gum, pot and vaping. Kids coming to class smell like pot. One student said it was from harvesting the plants.
