@RowlandRIVALS I have seen “bottom X team in the SEC” so much today, it’s laughable. There are not 8 SEC teams who we would trade spots with. There are not 25 total teams who we would trade places with. Not the standard, but still not as bad as being sold.

A lot of things can be true at once so I'm not saying everything is fine but I do think a lot of people are underselling the quality on the roster that Kentucky does have lined up. Diallo, Wilkins, Ndiaye, Kam, Moreno, McBride is not a bad first six.

Yesterday, Tyran Stokes posted on his Instagram story a picture of him in Atlanta. The famous show “Inside the NBA” set is in Atlanta as well. Now, according to @MattNorlander, Stokes is down to Kansas and Kentucky and will announce on Inside the NBA tonight at 6:30 ET.

@MattNorlander If this is a Nike EYBL event in Atlanta, it’d be a strange place to announce for an Adidas program.

No exaggeration to say that Kansas and Kentucky's respective outlooks for the 2026-27 season will violently swing depending on Stokes' decision. His choice remains a mystery to almost everyone.

@MattSakR2NG @TJWalkerRadio Agreed, and most of the media under ranks UK for clicks. It’ll depend how good some of the last 3-4 depth pieces are. A starting 5 of Zoom, Wilkins, Stokes, N’Diaye, Moreno is pretty damn good on paper and there wouldn’t be 20 starting lineups better

I’m not saying Kentucky is an elite team (at least yet) by any measure But if any other team had added Alex Wilkins, Malachi Moreno, and Zoom Diallo in the portal, do you think they would be ranked 38th?

@TJWalkerRadio If you go through teams 1-37, I guarantee there are at least 10 you would not trade places with as things stand, and probably another 5-10 you think are roughly the same

@ChrisFisherKY Agree it’s a tough spot but supposedly St John’s is only a little bit higher. UK should be able to go up another 250K. If it gets out of hand then obviously UK should walk away

Now, if you're Kentucky, you're almost in a no-win situation. Overpay for Donnie Freeman and further the narrative that you'll allow agents to take you to the cleaners, or let him walk, which would be a tough look for a guy you clearly targeted. This is where a GM comes in handy.
