Have all pretences been dropped by the BJP? It is no secret that the same power centre seems to control both the Election Commission of India and the BJP. Even then, at least maintain the courtesy of two separate desks. Now even that seems unnecessary. Seals are being casually swapped. A BJP seal on an Election Commission letter! Just like the old allegation - that no matter which button you press, the lotus appears - here comes another “coincidence.” Shouldn’t someone be paying attention? For those trying to track the story: An affidavit attached to a letter (dated March 19,2019) sent by the Election Commission to political parties carried the seal of the BJP Kerala unit instead of the Election Commission’s seal. This is a first. We have often heard claims that, no matter which button is pressed on a voting machine, the lotus lights up. But this is the first time it appears as if the BJP and the Election Commission are using the same seal. Verified update: The document has been received by multiple parties. It has been cross-verified with at least two of the recipients. It is also confirmed that the email originated from the official Election Commission source. #ElectionCommission #ECI #DemocracyAtRisk #ElectoralIntegrity #InstitutionalCapture

@akinikamanig So basically as long religion is a part of your tribal identity, and each tribe shows tolerance to each other, you are fine. When religion is a matter of truth and it is for a person to choose or reject it, you have a problem.

I went to a Christian school. Read the Bible as I did the Gita. Sang the carols and the hymns. I’ve had friends and colleagues from the community. There’s no aversion to Christianity. What I do have an aversion to, as many of the other Hindus would have suggested here already, is being told “you need saving. You’re going to hell. Your Gods are false Gods. There is no God other than…”. I have a problem with the arrogance of the people who push such narratives. I also have a problem with conversion mafias over targeting the vulnerable, the downtrodden promising them a better life because accepting a different faith would magically convert to money in their banks(?). Also, I think it’s rather rude when the Christians decide wearing a cross is alright but want us to believe wearing our own symbols of faith is “tacky” or worse, “communal”. I have a problem with the masses cheering when their leaders talk about ‘destroying Hinduism’. And my newest problem with Christianity is a few people claiming they’re being attacked in India when India has been the one country that has accepted the most persecuted faiths and given them refuge. TL;DR most of what you hear online is a political statement and not the ground reality. Most of us follow “don’t start no trouble, there would be no trouble”. So, Christianity isn’t the problem. It’s the people making their own God sound like a petty, unforgiving man-child greedy for more I have a problem with.
Carl Wheless@carlwheless

Serious question for my Indian friends: Is it this particular person, or is there an aversion to Christianity in Indian culture? I am neither advocating nor criticizing. I am genuinely curious. Teach me! 🙂

@mattforney “I spent 9 days in India, on a budget of 20x average yearly salary, at 5 star resorts - therefore I understand India” I thought her original posts about cows in the streets were satire. I cannot trust anything she writes again. I don’t think she is corrupted, just retarded.

@JayantBhandari5 Hindutva leaders are openly claiming that they are "nurturing" her to promote Hinduism in MAGA. Her deletion of earlier posts, apology to Hindus and open defense of Hinduism could be due to this as well.

Sakshi Apologetics Network (SAN)
@conservmillen, we are a Christian apologetics network in India. Laura Loomer is lying. - There is increasing attacks on Christians in India, or specifically Hindi belt (North India). More than 500 attacks were recorded (most go unrecorded). - anti conversion laws are enablers for Hindu mobs to attack Christians in Hindi belt where Christians are microscopic minority. Freedom exists in South India or North East India, where Christians are sizeable in number. - The new law passed by Maharashtra government is thus an enabler and would not be surprised if attacks against Christians increase in the coming months. - many of these State laws treat the accused as guilty until proven otherwise. This in itself is a subversion of justice. - in many Indian states, confiscation of the property of the accused along with life imprisonment are the punishment under these laws. - Definition of forcible conversion, allurement, inducement etc are even more ridiculous as preaching about eternal life or judgement will come under allurement, for example - most of these laws are actually copy paste laws from the Hindu kingdoms just before India's independence. Anti conversion laws (apostasy laws) are the first step to bring back those period. Interestingly none of these laws are applicable in Ghar Wapasi or conversion to Hinduism. - liberty of conscience is the most basic and in a way fundamental of all freedoms. If my conscience is subject to the state, am I a slave of a state or free citizen? Hinduism treats you as a clog in the system and not an individual with own worth. Conscience has no value in Hinduism. In the last two months, Hindutva leaders in America and who are attacking Christians in India such as Rajiv Malhotra have been working with Laura Loomer and as per them she is now "nurtured" to promote Hinduism in MAGA. This post by Laura Loomer should be seen in that light

One of the most magical things about India is the wildlife. I still cannot believe my eyes when I drive from town to town. On my drive to Monkey Temple in Jaipur, this is what the road looked like. It’s not uncommon to see dogs, cows, & tons of monkeys in the streets of India.
Laura Loomer@LauraLoomer

Honestly, as someone who has traveled a lot, India is the best country I have ever traveled to. It’s incredible. I will have been here for 9 days when I leave, and there is still so much to see and do. My experience has been amazing and India is portrayed negatively in the media as a place Amercians should avoid, but I realize a lot of that is completely made up. The people, food, culture and hospitality culture are just incredible. I have felt safe and comfortable the entire time I have been here and India will truly be the next big super power. This country has incredible potential and you have to see it yourself to understand because the media only makes it out to be 3rd world. That couldn’t be further from the truth. Indian people are the nicest people I have ever met. I am very grateful for my time in India. I have enjoyed it so much and I hope I can come back every year. Next time I want to visit South India. I have tried to do as much as possible these last 9 days but there is still so much to see and do. All good things come to an end. I’ll be back (hopefully soon). I love India. My misconceptions have been corrected. I have nothing but nice things to say. 🇮🇳

It's sad but I can't even say its wrong. India simply doesn't have the same laws as we do. At least they aren't killing them. But what always seems weird to me is this... why make evangelizing illegal... likely because its working. So I'm both encouraged and saddened by this. I will include them in my prayers.

@immaxpayne @Austinhouse58 @conservmillen @SteveDeaceShow You have an inhuman Varna system or you don't treat avarnas and foreigners as humans to begin with. Hence, it was prohibited once to listen to Vedas for Shudras and others whom you made as below until Westerners translated your books and we realized it is just tribal songs

@BenZeisloft @conservmillen @EWErickson The erroneous perception is due to Gandhiji, yoga etc- all PR work. Hinduism is a violent religion. Check out any statistics. It is tribalism, first expressed in in-group preference (as it happens in Visas, jobs) and when in strength can turn violent.

It’s super bad over there. Our perception in the West is that Hinduism is some kind of peaceful zen religion, but it’s not uncommon for Hindu mobs to assault Christians and run them out of their villages. There’s an ascendant Hindu nationalist movement in India that sees being Hindu as inherent to being Indian, which means the expulsion of other religions.

@conservmillen Most of the large states in India have Hindu Apostasy Laws (named as anti conversion laws). It allows people to convert to Hinduism but targets Christians. Apostasy Laws assume that accused are guilty until proven otherwise, imprisonment of 7 years to lifetime.

Bishop Robert Barron
Bishop Robert Barron@BishopBarron·
Over the past several weeks, Carrie Prejean Boller has complained that she was removed from the Presidential Commission on Religious Liberty because of her Catholic beliefs, and she has called out myself and other Catholic members of the commission for not defending her. This is absurd. Mrs. Prejean Boller was not dismissed for her religious convictions but rather for her behavior at a gathering of the Commission last month: browbeating witnesses, aggressively asserting her point of view, hijacking the meeting for her own political purposes. The Catholic position on matters of “Zionism,” to which I fully subscribe, is as follows: all forms of antisemitism are to be unequivocally condemned; the state of Israel has a right to exist; but the modern nation of Israel does not represent the fulfillment of Biblical prophecies and hence does not stand beyond criticism. If Mrs. Prejean Boller were dismissed for holding these beliefs, it is difficult to understand why I am still a member of the Commission. To paint herself as a victim of anti-Catholic prejudice or to claim that her religious liberty has been denied is simply preposterous.
Carrie Prejean Boller@CarriePrejean1

Your Excellency, you shared with me through text message to me that my position reflects Catholic teaching, especially that the modern state of Israel is not the fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. That is the position I expressed, and yet I was removed from the Religious Liberty Commission. Respectfully, it is difficult not to conclude that this commission does not truly care about religious liberty when a Catholic can be removed for faithfully articulating the Church’s teaching. Asking me to deny Catholic teaching in order to satisfy a political ideology is itself a violation of my religious freedom. As Pope Leo XIII warned, “To recoil before an enemy, or to keep silence when from all sides such clamor is raised against truth, is the part of a coward.” Whether I serve on this Commission or not, my voice will only grow louder for those being persecuted for their faith. I believe this appointment was ordained by God, and I will not abandon my Catholic faith to keep a position on a commission that has abandoned its mission. If my religious freedom is not protected, then no one’s is. Please speak up. Please stand up for Catholics. Be brave, Bishop Barron. The world needs brave men.
