Britain has been a Christian nation for over 1,400 years. Through wars, plagues, and countless kings, Easter has always been celebrated. Yet now, Cadbury won’t even use the word ‘Easter’ on their eggs. When did celebrating British traditions become controversial?

Absolute disaster from the officials at Scotstoun. Referee shouts Keenan is short and to release, defenders keep hold of him cynically. Then Clarkson goes over and scores and the TMO looks at the wrong phase to determine Keenan didn’t ground it. Embarrassing at such a high level

@CraigHouston_ @GMillar1874 For someone with political aspirations you are a bit thick. A campaign ran for more than a decade to get a ban. Politics moves at a glacier pace. It was the fact that there was moves to restart the Wallyford track that catalysed the law to be passed. That took years.

My grandson came home yesterday and told his mum that they had a lesson on muslims, and their religion in school that day. Today, my family decided that as Christians, catholics, and with Jewish relatives as well as women's rights activists aplenty within our family, this was not appropriate, needed, or wanted.
Monday, the head teacher will have a complaint she never imagined, she will never forget and will never wish repeated.
