Ding ding ding. Well said. And the activism applies to all angles. I guess I believe in free markets more than most “influencers” on this platform. If a business (not referring to colleges at all so stop getting all excited about Harvard lol ) does DEI well they will outperform others. But I have to ask all the anti DEI acolytes. Is trying to create “equal outcomes” for employees even possible for an OPERATING, FOR PROFIT company ? Seems to me it’s ridiculous to even try because it makes no sense for an operating business trying to maximize profits in a competitive industry Pay everyone the same every year ? No incentives or rewards for individual performance? Does any FOR PROFIT OPERATING company actually do this ? I don’t think it’s possible. I don’t know of any that have tried it. For all of you who think “woke ideology “ has pressured operating for profit companies to try, can you point them out to me with details. Not just some reference to equal outcomes that you don’t understand the context for. But actual operating references. For example. A company that adheres to an equal outcomes theory would have to have to be like a government entity where everyone fits into a pre defined pay grade. Maybe there are some out there but I have yet to deal with one in any of the tens of thousands of businesses I have dealt with And if they are out there they would most likely publish the details of how they achieve equal outcomes in their EEO reports or SEC filings or in reports to shareholders or customers/stakeholders. I would love to see examples. TIA!

@oldguy_steve Here’s a thing to do to prove you aren’t a liar - post a picture of your receipt. That would verify the total cost of your groceries, the location of the Wal-Mart, and the time you were there. Then we can call the Wal-Mart and ask them how many staffed checkout lanes were open!

So l am at Walmart scanning and bagging my almost $300 worth of groceries while the employee that wants $15 an hour "monitors" and then this happened. Her - why are you double bagging all of your groceries? Me - excuse me? Her - you are wasting our bags! Me - if you don't like the way I'm bagging the groceries, feel free to come on over here and bag them yourself. Her - that's not my job! Me - okay, then I will bag my groceries how I please if that's all right with you. Her - why are you using two bags?! Me - because the bags are weak and I don't want the handles to break or the bottoms to rip out. Her - well that's because you are putting too much stuff in the bag. If you took half of that stuff out and put it in a different bag then you wouldn't need to double bag. *10 seconds of me just staring at her. Me - so you want me to split these items in half and put half of them in a different bag so that I don't have to double bag. Her - exactly. Me - so I would still be using two bags to hold the same number of items. Her - no because you wouldn't be double bagging. *me pressing two fingers to my left eye in an attempt to make it stop twitching. Me - okay so here I have a jug of milk and a bottle of juice double bagged. If I take the milk out and remove the double bagging and just put the milk in the single bag and the juice in that single bag I'm still using two bags for these two items. Her- no because you are not double bagging them so it's not the same number of bags.

She has an h-index that is well below what is typically required for someone to be promoted to full professor. 2) President Gay is not a distinguished administrator as she has spent her entire career promulgating the DIE cult (diversity, inclusion, and equity), which violates every fabric of the meritocratic ethos that one would expect from @harvard. 3) Some very serious repeat allegations about plagiarism have been levied against her, across many of her works including her dissertation. Unless you think that plagiarism is an inherent part of white supremacy then it is difficult to see your point. Plagiarism cannot be contextualized. 4) She was unwilling to deontologically condemn the open hatred of Jews on campus. Instead, she had to "contextualize" it. Do you think that the repudiation of Jew-hatred is a form of white supremacy? You do everyone a disservice by invoking the boogeyman of white supremacy here. President Gay is being criticized for her behaviors and positions. The only ones who have ever cared about her skin color are those who repeatedly promoted her to positions that she was unfit to hold. Be careful to accuse me of white supremacy as I'm a Lebanese-Jewish war refugee of color so I outrank you and President Gay in Victimology Poker. It’s show biz baby 🙌🏼 Gotta go out there and sell the product no matter what. Doesn’t mean I wasn’t dying inside doing it. We were all incredibly hurt; the cast, the producers; when the embargo lifted on the reviews. I was having breakfast in New York with my family when the reviews dropped. My stomach fell out. And I went cold. I knew life would be different after that. I did the press. I did the premiere. I sold the movie. I wasn’t about to pour gas on myself and light myself on fire over the issue. I had a job to do I did it. Just like anyone else with responsibilities. But I will never forget that morning at Breakfast. The reviews were so personal and so vitriolic. And seven years later that vitriol continues. You can imagine my frustration. Eventually I couldn’t stay quiet. I had to speak my truth. I know my life and my work are mere ragebait and clickbait for many online. But I’m an artist. I have a big heart. I feel everything. And I love making films.
