Despite CBIC letter dated 03.03.2026 postponing the OCM scheduled for 09.03.2026, no fresh date has yet been notified. Non-convening of the OCM is contrary to Board’s instructions dated 16.05.2017 mandating quarterly meetings with recognized Service Associations under the Chairmanship of Member (Administration). The last Board-level OCM was held in April 2025. Continued delay defeats the spirit of DoPT/JCM guidelines and adversely impacts grievance redressal, administrative efficiency, and staff morale. It is further observed that several Zones/Commissionerates are also not conducting OCM/JCM meetings as per prescribed timelines, resulting in accumulation of unresolved grievances. The appointment of Dinesh Trivedi as India’s Ambassador to Bangladesh signaled this shift, highlighting a move toward more strategically calibrated appointments. The core criticism centers on "diplomatic vectoring" a tendency to reduce diplomacy to routine courtesies, cultural events, and bureaucratic rituals rather than substantive strategic engagement. This inertia, observed in both veteran and younger officers, is seen as a structural fault line that hinders India’s global ambitions and doctrine of strategic autonomy. To address this, the government is advocating for a transition to "Smart Power Diplomacy." This model demands a "whole of government" approach, where officers move beyond siloed operations to build deep, resilient networks and actively engineer pathways for India’s strategic and economic interests. The message from the top is clear: the era of "photo op diplomacy" is over. The IFS must now replace bureaucratic routine with intellectual sharpness and purposeful urgency to match India’s accelerating rise on the global stage.

In his memoirs, 'The Sarkari Mussalman', Lt General Zameer-Uddin Shah, who led the Indian Army deployed during the 2002 Gujarat riots, says the army lost crucial time after arriving in Ahmedabad because transport, maps, & logistical support from the Gujarat state administration were delayed. He stated that around 3,000 troops landed on the morning of March 1, 2002, but remained stranded at the airport for many hours. I quote him," We just stayed helplessly in the airfield for almost 34 hours. We could hear gunshots but do nothing. Of course, it would have saved one day of rioting." End of quote. Who delayed the army deployment? Why? How many Muslim lives were lost because of the delay? Join the dots. It is impossible to miss the larger picture. Muslims are very much part of the mosaic, that is India. In art, literature, architecture, military conquests, poetry, cuisine, science, math & every other field, the ineffable Muslim contribution to India can never be erased, however much bigots like you, try.

I’m sure Prime Minister @narendramodi will do a ‘pareeksha pe charcha’ ahead of the #NEET re-examination and explain to the hardworking students and anxious parents of India how his government allowed a leak of the whole examination paper. In his speech, he should say that this was his masterstroke to train the next generation for what’s coming; that they will face 100s of such instances where their chances will snatched away by nepokids and worse. If some of them become successful businessmen, their businesses will be taken away from them. If anyone resists, he or she will first be singled out for lapdog agency raids. If the resistance does not end, a minimum year and half jail term awaits them! Note: Not one thing I have mentioned here is fiction. If that doesn’t scare the hell out you, it’s because you love the phrase “Hindu khatre mein hain” infinitely more than the idea of India.
