As per Para 11.5.7 page 297 of Select Committee Report on IT Bill 2025 @FinMinIndia apprised the Committee that exemption of Income Tax on Disability Pension will continue as the Honorable SC has ordered to “Maintain Status Quo”. Now in Para 108 D(6) of Finance Bill 2026 this exemption has been taken away from those Disabled Soldiers who Superannuated. Was the Committee misled? @iamviveksri @FinMinIndia The disability/ retention in service/invalided out of service everything is decided by the Medical board. It's not the choice of the individual. Punishing and penalization of individual is injustice. It's like punishing him for the sacrifice he made for the country.
