@artaraya @jaketapper Cut spending? No president in the modern era added more to the deficit than Trump did during his first term. Had his corporate tax cut been just 7% instead of 14%, that difference would have paid for the entire Buikd Back Better legislation. He bankrupted six companies !

@jaketapper Were you not paying attention? We elected him to cut spending and his team is doing that. You're a fan of all of the pork in that bill? How are we ever gonna get our budget under control for us and our children without doing things like this? Biz as usual no longer cuts it.

@RonFilipkowski Am I the only one who thinks RFKJ looks like he got stuck in a microwave? And didn’t Ted Cruz play Grand Papa in Addams Family?

@chambleebrandel @AnthonyKim_Golf Yup. The House of Saud killed Kashoggi. The House of Bush killed 200K civilians in Iraq under a false pretense. The House of Saud has been vested in the PGA tour since the Shell Golf Matches on TV in the 60s and 70s. They also own 30% of downtown DC. So?

Less his banal drivel gets distorted into relevancy and just for context, I played the tour for about a decade longer than @AnthonyKim_Golf and had more top tens than he did in his career. And while I understand his failures and sympathize with them, his absurd computations seem oblivious to the fact that he was willing to trade his talent for the convenience of insurance payments and then willing to betray those payments for the convenience of a dictatorial murderer who would pay him to help hide his atrocities. I wish Anthony well but let’s not pretend he knows north from south or disability payments from obfuscation payments or for that matter that he has ever heard of Jamal Khashoggi.

🚨🗣️👀 #WAR OF WORDS — LIV Golfer Anthony Kim on Golf Channel’s Brandel Chamblee: “Guys like that are what’s wrong with golf. Brandel talks about stuff he knows nothing about…” Who do you stand with? @AnthonyKim_Golf or @chambleebrandel

Japanese baseball player Chusei Mannami went viral a couple weeks ago for this ABSURD throw. I ended up going down a rabbit hole and folks... this guy might have the most electric arm in baseball history. 🧵 Thread

@joe_zappa It means one of the triopoly members subsumed whatever issue was afoot, and owned it for their own benefit (i.e. privacy:Facebook), until either someone (FTC) regulated it or their own hubris/malfeasance revealed a vulnerability for others to exploit (privacy-Facebook)

Often when you mention an adtech problem — e.g., automating direct deals — someone will say, "We were solving that 15 years ago." Does this mean adtech isn't innovative? Or that there are structural forces making the problems hard to solve? Or both?

Not sure why you challenge the sneak. Even if he didn't make the first down, Byard's unnecessary roughness penalty gave it to them, right?

@TylerKepner What say you to the claim made by Braves SS Arcia that his comment about Harper was not to a reporter and should have stayed in the clubhouse? Not a rule that gets broken so much, is it?

@TylerKepner And Tug McGraw was so fresh in the postseason because he had broken his right wrist shagging flies behind his back during BP that spring. Imagine a 4 inning appearance by any closer now!

@TylerKepner What a fantastic piece! So many insights. My brother left me hanging from a traffic light at 15th and Market at around midnight when they beat the Royals six games later.

“That guy, he is one of, if not the, greatest performer under pressure I’ve ever seen,” Mike Schmidt said today of Bryce Harper. A column on the greatest Phillies of the past and present, and the wildest postseason series ever played. nytimes.com/2022/10/25/spo…
