Today @realDonaldTrump waived the "Jones Act” because the war increased the price of oil.
The Jones Act raises all sorts of prices by giving U.S. shipping companies special treatment.
But it shouldn’t be waived for 60 days.
Here’s why it should be killed for good.

But it is not the capital employed that creates profits and losses. Capital does not “beget profit” as Marx thought. The capital goods as such are dead things that in themselves do not accomplish anything. If they are utilized according to a good idea, profit results. If they are utilized according to a mistaken idea, no profit or losses result. It is the entrepreneurial decision that creates either profit or loss. It is mental acts, the mind of the entrepreneur, from which profits ultimately originate. Profit is a product of the mind, of success in anticipating the future state of the market. It is a spiritual and intellectual phenomenon. Ludwig von Mises, “Profit and Loss,” 1951

I think that the early Gaelic civilizations of Ireland qualify as a successful example of a pure market-anarchist society. During this period society was divided into small units known as a túath. These were kingdoms, or land ruled by a chieftain, consisting of several extended families or clans bound together by social, economic, and kinship ties. Each túath operated as a purely stateless society, with no legislature, no sheriff, no police, and no public enforcement of justice.

According to ex-climate alarmist Tom Harris, wind turbines "require a backup fossil fuel plant that continues burning 90% of the time, making the wind turbine largely unnecessary and, in essence, just for show".
"This is a far cry from the environmentally friendly image that is presented to the public."

Remember the Spanish blackouts?
An official report is out, confirming the cause.
Surprise: It's solar/wind.
Solar/wind failed en masse due to a problem with grid voltage/frequency—and thanks to anti-fossil-fuel policies, there wasn't enough reliable backup to recover the grid.

SPAIN BLACKOUT: Entso-E has released its "factual" report. The "root analysis" is expected in 1Q 2026. Several initial wind/solar fails (see map) After those, "the high voltage and low frequency profiles in the Spanish transmission system led to cascading tripping" (page 109)

The market, not an unelected bureaucrat at the Fed, should be deciding interest rates.
Even more reason we need to audit the Federal Reserve.

Powell: "Increased tariffs are pushing up prices in some categories of goods. Near-term measures of inflation expectations have moved up on balance over the course of this year on news about tariffs."
