Look at this smile. This is Yair Avitan, a lion of Israel, filmed just moments before heading into the heart of Gaza to defend our home. He wasn't walking into battle with fear; he was walking with a joy that only a true hero understands - the joy of protecting his family, his people, and his land.
As a father, it’s hard to find the words. It is a terrifying mix of a trembling heart and infinite pride. To know that our sons go into the fire with such light in their eyes, fully aware of the price they might pay, is the ultimate testament to the Jewish spirit.
Yair fell in battle, but that smile - that pure, holy devotion - will never be extinguished. He didn't just fight for a piece of land, he fought for our right to exist. We owe him, and all our fallen brothers, a debt we can only repay by living with the same courage they showed.

I was in a synagogue last night in the center of Israel. As the prayer service continued, a tall handsome young man stood in front of the Torah Ark, his faced pressed against the velvet curtain, for what seemed like half an hour. When he finished, I asked why the long and fervent prayer. He said he was leaving that night to fight in Lebanon in order to defend his nation against Hezbollah, and he was praying for the success of his mission. As he left, the entire congregation stood and clapped and wished him well. To those outside of Israel praying for the Jewish State, try to imagine what life is like here. The daily dash to a shelter with small children or an elderly relative, the knowledge that a beloved son, daughter, spouse or patent is defending the nation and in harm’s way, and the well publicized threats from enemies to destroy us all. If you’re not here, you won’t directly experience these traumas. But try to imagine them nonetheless as you pray and let your feelings drive you to seek God’s mercy with even greater intensity. It is an important contribution that can be made from anywhere on earth.

IDF announces the killing of a soldier in Lebanon: Sergeant Moshe Yitzchak HaCohen Katz, 22, from New Haven, Connecticut.

BREAKING: Unfortunately, 10 U.S. service members have been wounded as a result of a ballistic missile strike by the IRGC Aerospace Force on Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia.
They were crew members of U.S. Air Force KC-135R Stratotankers. Two of them sustained very serious burn injuries while onboard a KC-135R on the ramp with engines running, preparing for departure, when it was struck by cluster submunitions and caught fire. Eight others were also seriously wounded.
In total, two to three KC-135Rs are destroyed and at least four others damaged. Additional aircraft, including two EC-130H Compass Call electronic warfare aircraft, have also been damaged in the strike.

Bomber Mission 40 - The B-2 Spirit Returns! #FreeIran
--- Operation EPIC FURY ---
Alongside a single flight of B-1B "Lancer" bombers from RAF Fairford, the other visitors to Iran yesterday were a flight of B-2A "Spirit" bombers from Whiteman AFB (KSZL) in the mainland US. At present it's unclear how many bombers exactly (I'm sure we'll hear from CENTCOM at some point), but based on analysis of the tanker assets involved in the mission compared with previous B-2 runs, I believe 4 or more bombers is likely.
These have likely hit targets in Iran that the UK was not permitting Fairford-based B-1/B-52 aircraft to hit. The B-2s are confirmed to be somewhere over the mid-Atlantic heading home now, hence posting this at this time.
This is the 40th bomber mission I've tracked since the start of #OperationEpicFury!
