@dhh Any specific reason/hardware choice as to why you went Asus G14 vs Framework for your current laptop?

I really haven't thanked Apple enough for leading me to Linux. I mean that with zero irony and zero shade. This has been one of the top five quests of my career. And I'd never had pursued it if they hadn't turned into The Navy. Thank you, Captain Cook! 🙏

.@taylorotwell is there a way to get access to the beta of the AI SDK? Can’t seem to find a GitHub repo etc but potentially just not looking in the right place…

@christophrumpel @driesvints Isn’t this saying it’s not built yet, they end with “That future does not exist today, but the work to make it real and safe is already underway.”

Does you bot needs its own password vault? TLDR: You can create a service account from your account for your bot and store passwords in its vault instead storing them in plain text on the server. Great read, I am using it already. Thanks @driesvints 👍 1password.com/blog/its-openc…

The concept of describing software in English (via md files), and leaving the implementation up to an LLM is super interesting - especially for lots of the smaller libraries we all end up shipping in our applications. @dbreunig recent article is though provoking!

@airesearch12 💯 @ Spec-driven development It's the limit of imperative -> declarative transition, basically being declarative entirely. Relatedly my mind was recently blown by dbreunig.com/2026/01/08/a-s… , extreme and early but inspiring example.

@linuz90 I wasn't sure I needed it vs doing loops or using CLI's directly, but after trying it, it's very well designed, has just the right amount of functionality - and feels natural!

@Shpigford I have heard people are using @UTMapp - I had an old 2020 Mac mini lying around I threw it on, but UTM seemed like a good solution when I had considered that

I’m enjoying @conductor_build, but I didn’t think I would. It does a good job of making you feel in control, and informed, and has some IDE like tools - but the work is getting done by agents with tight integration with Github. Try it!

@linuz90 to be fair, I've got 128GB and it still slows down when i've got a bunch of workspaces running at the same time.

@andrewcairns Try 5.2-codex - i am finding it to work better than 4.5 opus atm. I used a ralph loop to fully build a SaaS app at the weekend using a prd.json file that was created by AI. What a time to be alive!

Next feature I work on, I'm gonna use Opus to create the plan, then Sonnet to implement it. I rarely switch from Opus.

The Isometric NYC project by @_coenen is so cool! I also love the detail he has provided about how he used AI to build it, especially the images. Lots of great lessons in there!
