Answer: contamination with venous flow signal due to range ambiguity of CW Doppler. Teaching point: do not confuse this with flow reversal. Check the signal contour and confirm with PW Doppler.

TAPVR classification: Type 1 (supracardiac), Type 2 (cardiac/intracardiac), Type 3 (infracardiac), and Type 4 (mixed). Types 1 and 3 often require neonatal repair due to vertical vein obstruction.
