PRDs are absolutely dead on teams like Claude. Now they only draft plans, answer questions about plans, store plans as .md in the repo, have a mode specifically to make those plans, have a slash command /plan that invokes it, puts a CTA in their “Cowork” app to make PRDs wait

@jasonyuan With the right training, AI is already there. Designers who believe this are just telling themselves what they want/need to hear. It's tough to forfeit your identity to AI and confront a reality where everything you've learned could lose value.

maybe I’m not speciest enough but I’m not entirely convinced that having good ideas or good taste is a trait that will remain exclusive to humans for long

@HarryStebbings I loved our interview Harry, but I’m sad if I came off not being happy. Besides college, the last 6 year as public CEO have been the most happy and fulfilling ones of my life, huge intensity notwithstanding (in part b/c my public CEO tenure correlates with my children’s birth).

@empathyx100 Meta doesn't believe that interacting in virtual reality is better than interacting in person. It believes that it eventually will be and the company is working to enable that future.

@maxwendkos It blows my mind that the company that has made billions convincing people that online and now virtual reality is the same or better than in person connection is now demanding all employees be in their office.

@snowsowhite All were full-time offers from specific teams. Three of the five accepted and have started, one is pending a decision, and one declined. The offer rate is high because I carefully screen everyone who reached out and only passed along designers whose work was very strong.

@maxwendkos 5 out of 20 applications received offers seems very high. How many of these 5 actually had a team match and started work? We know an offer at Meta doesn’t necessarily mean you have a job. FT vs. contract?
