@NicheRanger Yes, I figured that was that tool. It’s simply a cookie being set when you run the tool so no UI change 😉

Hey @maxxeight, feature request for TechnicalSEO dot com (an awesome tool by the way - thanks for making it!). Could you enable the option to have a default setting for a search? I nearly always select US and 90210 for postcode (ha), and it'd be nice to not have to choose those settings each time.

@learntheropes_ Hi Giovanni, sorry I don't have a definitive answer, but my guess is that if you see them in the SERP then it might indeed be a limitation of the Preview in the Rich Results tool.

I'm aware google may remove the emoji from the result shown to the users if they consider it spammy or unrelated, but I'm still at the previous step: being sure google can read it.

@searchliaison @glenngabe We’re having a lot of issues with this across multiple brands and markets: datePublished showing instead of dateModified, day/month mixups, date of the 1st comment on the page showing, old timestamps for LiveBlog stories instead of "X minutes ago", etc.

@glenngabe Here's our guidance on dates: support.google.com/news/publisher… developers.google.com/search/docs/ap… Understand that ideally, the meta data alone would seem to some to be enough, and we'll keep working to improve. But there are good reasons why we like multiple date signals present.

Many news publishers have complained about nagging date problems in Top Stories for a long time. Here's another great example. Jake Paul's announcement TODAY was somehow written on October 29th by ESPN?? That's not even close :) I don't envy news publishers having to deal w/this.
