@CuthCollingwood @Legal_Fil I’m not sure where you went to school, or when, but you are flat out wrong about this topic. You’re either completely naive or competent fos.

@mcclain_darren @Legal_Fil I appreciate the anecdote although I dont see how it changes things, for example, from my own experience in this regard. I didnt see views being swayed much at the various universities I attended, but students tended to be more liberal, sure.

Harvard has a $60 billion endowment, but pays roughly $50 million in taxes a year because they are subject to only a 1.4% tax on net investment income. Odd that Warren never argues that they should pay more.
Elizabeth Warren@SenWarren

Jeff Bezos has $222 billion. If he paid my wealth tax this year, we could fund insulin in America for everyone who needs it plus free school lunch for every kid in Texas—and have plenty of money left over. And Bezos would still have $215 billion dollars to spare.

@CuthCollingwood @Legal_Fil I never said he didn’t have any conservative professors. It’s a technical university. Politics don’t come up often in an engineering class. But it did often in his GE classes, and he felt it was best to stay quiet. This is not to mention the mandatory trainings he had

@CuthCollingwood @Legal_Fil That’s not what the articles stated. Their position, which is universally accepted, is that it had increased over the last couple of decades.

@mcclain_darren @Legal_Fil Faculty has leaned left for 50 years in the studies youre citing, why hasn't it produced brainwashing until now? Where is evidence on outcomes? Im sorry to hear about your son's experience, but was that a product of campus social dynamics?

@CuthCollingwood @Legal_Fil You personally “feel”, lmao. My son just graduated from a school known for engineering, ag sciences and construction management. He leans right but not far. He never felt he was able to voice his opinions and never had a prof he thought was conservative but had many obv lib.

@CuthCollingwood @Legal_Fil In theory, yes, but many have turned I to leftist indoctrination centers where opposing views are silenced. That’s only valuable to those with an agenda not and not the idea of enlightenment or critical thought.

@SteveGuest Why does rail fail? Because Americans oppose density. Even the people who claim they support it, 99% of the time oppose it when it's in the neighborhood.

60 Minutes OBLITERATES California and Gavin Newsom's plan for high speed rail: "Hardly passenger-ready." "America's hopes for its first high-speed rail were kindled in 2008 when California voters approved a ballot measure for a train connecting Los Angeles to San Francisco in less than three hours. The estimated price tag: $33 billion. Completion date: 2020. It would cut pollution, revitalize local economies, clear gridlock. Status update: today, the state's High-Speed Rail Authority is preparing to lay its first tracks at roughly the same cost. Only slight course correction here: instead of LA to San Francisco, it will run one-third of that distance connecting—wait for it—the metropolis of Bakersfield and Merced (population 96,000). Oh, and when will it open? 2033." Pathetic.

At this point if you're in the US military you have a moral obligation to start refusing orders. Desert. Become a conscientious objector. Ideally, get everyone together and launch a full-scale military coup. We're in "Mad King" territory. Someone's gotta do what needs to be done.

What if the Bitcoin bottom is already in, or just one deviation low away from the same outcome? With the majority bearish and expecting a bottom in Q4, what if it was actually a higher low in a market trending upwards? How do these ideas stack up? // A Thread 🧵👇

@ianmSC Wait….didn’t we create some new state department to stop oil company price gouging? Wonder what that useless program costs us each year.

You’ll be stunned to find out that when Gavin Newsom, his team, and his media partners were repeatedly screaming about greedy oil companies driving up gas prices and “ripping off California families,” they were lying and were, in fact, the ones ripping everyone off all along
CBS Sacramento@CBSSacramento

For years, California leaders accused oil companies of price gouging at the pump, but a state investigation found no evidence of that. Instead, a CBS News California investigation found what's really driving the highest gas prices in the U.S. cbsloc.al/3PPOHwW

You'd be amazed how many people pay extra for the undercoat. The dealership basically tells you to protect your new baby and people make an emotional decision. Very rarely do you actually need an undercoat and shouldn't do it from the dealership on purchase. He probably could've talked em way down on the undercoat tho too but I mean there's so much wrong with this already ha
