The state of publishing scientific papers is untenable. It can take upto 2yrs from submission to acceptance/rejection in hi impact journals. Junior scientists can't wait that long, it impacts their careers. Editors want unsustainable levels of data when grants are limited.

@ProfKarolSikora The reason why these posts exist is because of the problem that old white males recruit other old white males not the best person for the job. If skill is prioritised not gender and race, then edi roles would be redundant.

We're told the NHS is underfunded... If that is the case, why is over £80k being wasted on this diversity role?
If it were up to me, every penny spent on these jobs/schemes would be diverted to frontline staff.

@JolyonMaugham I have no issue with farmers not paying inheritance tax on farms as long as the beneficiary maintains the land for farming. As soon as that land is sold then the inheritance tax should be paid
