Rep. Magaziner plays video of Doug Burgum boasting about wind energy production in North Dakota while he was governor. Magaziner: Were you wrong as governor to expand wind energy? Why don’t other states around the country deserve the same? We do. We deserve access to these wind and solar projects that you are blocking.

@JosephLaMagna @fried_egg_golf @GolfChannel It's a massive con job They're gonna force weekend golfers who play club comps to ditch all their found balls & buy dozens of new "compliant" balls All for next to no reason Then they'll force us to buy new drivers & mini drivers...

We're talking about strategic trees not ones placed for safety or to prevent players playing down another fairway. And yes the game should absolutely be bifurcated. It's done wonders for pro tennis and baseball has used multiple sets of equipment rules for decades. The answer should rarely be "lets just make the court or ballpark bigger"

@mctrees02 @garrett_TFE You can put a 15 foot tree right off the tee box in any direction you want and prevent shots in that direction. They can bifurcate, anything they want. A ball rollback for amateurs is retarded.

@Tomsconcepts @thewheatgerm we've played both small and medium home games using the deck with our girls who are 9 and 12. Both times it's been a blast and they really enjoy it. It also helps that we've watched every season with them so they know how the game works.

I dont think its all or nothing with trees because a well placed tree can create strategic interest. Aronimink would probably benefit w/ adding a tree or three on holes such as 2, 4, 9 and 16. But endless tree lined holes creates boring "hit in down the corridor" golf. The best example I've seen for tree removal is @TheAddingtonGC in London. Trees had reduced much of the course to narrow playing corridors with marginal turf. @cdpgolf1 have done a fabulous job of restoring it over the past 5 or so years.

@mctrees02 @g_rockets @PaoloUggetti @KylePorterNS 1. A double-edged sword. Yes a problem if trees too close to greens. But more widely help with drainage. 2. Subjective. Have never enjoyed a course more with trees removed - "sightlines" is a misnomer. Wd prefer trees! 3. Perhaps, though if replaced by thick rough then same prob

Hello from Aronimink where Rory is speaking and seems to have no issue sharing his honest thoughts on the course/setup: “Off the tee, the strategy is non-existent.”

@g_rockets @FIDelBoy7 @PaoloUggetti @KylePorterNS IMO a course shouldnt make its agronomy decisions just because its played by pros one week every few years. Removing trees improves: 1) turf health 2) sightlines across the property 3) pace of play (the most important one of all) All of these lead to a happier membership

@wadesway22 @PaoloUggetti somebody asks his opinion, he gives his opinion...and that makes him arrogant? Do you expect him to give somebody else's opinion instead of his own?

@PaoloUggetti He is so arrogant it’s unbelievable. Acts like he is gods gift to golf and no one else in the sport has an opinion that matters besides him. This act is nauseating

@NealFondren @Top100Rick @zagnut Very different green complexes concepts at Aronimink and Pinehurst…it’s also 6ish weeks earlier, softer turf and cooler weather. Have a decent chance for windy conditions the next few afternoons but otherwise this will likely be about distance control with short irons & wedges

@Top100Rick @zagnut Old Donald Ross courses are special. Most famous-Pinehurst #2. And the pros really struggle with that course. Greens are small, but yet, the place to be is a small 10-ft area. Getting out of position there is punitive. Aronimink will, perhaps, be similar?

When will the game be sufficiently grown? How do we measure it? And what parts of the game are we talking about, exactly? Important questions from Mr. Big on last night's Live Show.

The odds of having dementia at age 85 were close to 1 in 3 in the 80s; now they are 1 in 10. I don’t think we have a great explanation: better cardiovascular health, diet, and education are often mentioned. Good news nonetheless. Carnall Farrar. (2025, March 27). Dementia trends.

With Julian Caldwell's commitment, #WreckEm holds commitments from 5 of the 11 highest-rated prospects in Texas. I believe the last time we saw this level of recruiting rankings domination was during the Mack Brown era at Texas. Just amazing what they are doing in #TXHSFB!

Texas Tech has landed another MASSIVE in-state prize in ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Argyle WR Julian Caldwell (@JulianCaldwell_) . Caldwell is one of the best statistical WRs in #TXHSFB and runs the entire route tree. Caldwell committed to #WreckEm over Oregon and Texas. Huge!
