“Modern humanitarian finance needs modern infrastructure – and we’re here to help make that happen.” At @wef, Elisabeth Carpenter, Founding Chair of Circle Foundation, announced the foundation’s first international grant to support the @UN's Digital Hub of Treasury Solutions, a shared platform led by @Refugees. The goal: streamline humanitarian aid delivery across the UN system, reduce costs, enhance transparency, and enable secure, real-time access to financial systems worldwide.

Circle Foundation is supporting the United Nations in their efforts to modernize global aid delivery. The humanitarian system moves more than $38B every year, yet much of that aid still relies on slow, costly legacy financial rails. Through its first international grant, Circle Foundation will support the @Refugees’ Digital Hub of Treasury Solutions to upgrade shared financial infrastructure across the UN system. Congratulations to ATEC for winning Circle’s Unlocking Impact Pitch Competition and the 100,000 @USDC grand prize! This weekend we brought together innovators using USDC and blockchain infrastructure to accelerate humanitarian aid and drive inclusive growth. It is profoundly disturbing to see young social media influencers casually rationalize Hitler and the Nazi regime’s systematic extermination of six million Jews during the Holocaust. The only thing more terrifying than Holocaust denial is Holocaust glorification. The comfort with which these commentators defend the most evil man ever to roam the earth should send chills down the spine of every decent person.

From developers to early wallets and exchanges, chains, payment platforms, and banks who brought stablecoins to millions, this community showed up long before the world caught on. The House vote to clear the GENIUS Act for the President’s signature is a defining moment for the future of money and the internet financial system.
