@SwipeTheory I have decided not to play this #Accor game anymore. The anxiety is leading to stupid decisions. We travel to see the world, The hotel room is part of the trip, not THE trip. I'll redeem what I can when I can.

Some HSBC x Accor rumours are doing the rounds. There’s usually no smoke without fire. A change could happen - Accor points are among the most expensive for banks to buy, the transfer ratio is currently 1:1, and INR depreciation doesn’t help either. If you’re sitting on HSBC points with plans to transfer them to Accor, it may be worth playing it safe. Better safe than sorry. PS: I’d expect HSBC to provide notice before making any transfer ratio changes. (Though if a partner decides to discontinue the relationship altogether, that may be beyond HSBC’s control.)

Hearing a rumour on HSBC x Accor, so transferred balance points to Accor. Just a reminder, it’s just a rumour. But on the other hand it’s the same rumour on Axis x Accor few months back turned into reality, at that point too I transferred to Accor from all my Olympus card balance 😊 All Signature plan helped to pool most of the points into one account 😉 Stay for the next few years sorted ⭐️

@spendwiselyx Congratulations to you both. Is HSBC set in stone with a 50 lac investment or is there room to negotiate a smaller investment/TRV?

Entered the era of Premier Banking 🥰💸 👉 Opened a joint account with spouse at HSBC Premier — so got 2 debit cards 😊 💳 The much-awaited HSBC Premier Credit Card is coming soon… 🚀 👉 Will share my full journey on how I got there + meeting eligibility criteria. Stay tuned 👀 ✅ With every bank chasing high-value customers these days, there’s clearly no dearth of good options 👉 Anyone maintaining a 6-digit average balance in a savings account deserves better service Also, I’m not someone who worships any credit card like a god or calls it a “king card” 🙅‍♂️ 👉 As long as a card suits me, I’ll use it 👉 Else, I’ll move to the next one Loyalty is meant for family, friends & country — not for a credit card. I still hope rationality prevails and HDFC Bank brings reasonable criteria for the great Infinia 🤞 I have a 17-year banking relationship with HDFC Bank and will continue — as long as it remains mutually rewarding and Infinia is continued. Else, I will move my entire banking relationship to HSBC as my primary account 💼 Customer loyalty should be valued — not taken for granted. Hope customer feedback is taken positively.

Guys, looks like HDFC has dropped the ₹3L spend target (for Mar–Apr 2026) that was earlier given to me to continue with my Infinia Credit Card 🙌 And honestly, I appreciate this gesture. 👍 (I have not even spent Rs.2 Lacs in the given period till now.) 🤔 Not sure if this Mar–Apr spend target waiver is for everyone or selective 👉 Do comment if you also received a similar email 👉Like many Infinia users, I was asked to spend ₹3L across March & April 2026, failing which the card was to be closed/downgraded. 📩 Now I’ve received an email confirming: ✅ This spend condition has been waived ✅ My Infinia will continue till March 2027 However, post that, the original renewal conditions still remain: 👉 Spend ₹18L in FY 2026–27 OR 👉 Maintain ₹50L in Savings/FD And frankly, neither works for me: ❌ I don’t have ₹18L worth of spends to route via Infinia (And I’m definitely not increasing expenses just to keep a credit card) ❌ Parking ₹50L in Savings/FD doesn’t make sense (The opportunity cost is far higher than the card’s benefits) So for now, I’ll continue enjoying the card till 2027 — and thereafter will move to another card if HDFC persists with these conditions.🤷‍♂️ #creditcard #spendwisely #creditcards

Then spend ₹30K in the first 90 days and get another 11,000 points. That’s 19,000 MR points on an ₹11K fee 📷 Plus Taj and Accor memberships too. Citibank should have never sold its consumer business to @AxisBank : Axis is perhaps the worst when it comes to consumer care. And their CEO, equally terrible. How the bank has fallen: from the brilliant Pramit Jhaveri to the present CEO: a decline that could make for a movie.

@shantanu_savkur @wittysiddharth Dude....you definitely do not understand hotel business. Accor was not doing this out of the goodness of their heart and nor was axis. It's a financial transaction where a bank gets miles at a fixed rate..so hotel earns even when customer uses those miles and spends more at hotel

We all Ccgeeks should boycott axis bank and its cards! . The same way we did it for infinia , where in dey had to reverse its devaluation. . Lets do it guys! Lets show them our power. . Axis cannot remove these partners overnight! If they can then we can also overnight make their business suffer huge losses! . Lets unite and write multiple emails to their Credit card head along with their CMD! . Let us meet their CMD together , if we 20-30 people go then they will have to reverse its devaluation or atleast give some timeline for it! #ccgeeks #ccgeek

Axis Bank just pulled off a textbook ambush on its own customers and didn’t even have the spine to announce it. Accor didn’t “get removed.” It was quietly executed in the dead of night. No heads-up. No courtesy email. No SMS. Nothing. Just a clean, silent wipe- like customers don’t deserve basic transparency. This isn’t incompetence. It’s calculated disrespect. Because let’s be honest- this bank has zero trouble blowing up your phone with loan offers, credit card pitches, and every other piece of spam imaginable. Their systems work perfectly when it benefits them. But when it comes to informing customers about a major devaluation? Suddenly, radio silence. That tells you everything. This is a bank that will happily market trust and loyalty while operating with the ethics of a back-alley deal. A listed institution behaving like it’s allergic to accountability. And the message is loud and clear: your rewards, your points, your “benefits- they’re all disposable. They’ll pull the rug whenever they feel like it, and you’ll find out after the damage is done. It is a cowardly move by a bank that thinks its customers are too insignificant to even be informed. Embarrassing. Shameless. Utterly spineless. @AxisBank #ccgeek #ccgeeks #accor #devaluation
Siddharth Bhimani.@wittysiddharth

Mail sent to them!! , I maybe alone in this , as there are spineless Idiots out there who are mocking me , but its ok!! . Remember - Infinia retracted their devaluation when all the folks here on twitter took a stand! #ccgeek #ccgeeks
