THIS is the entitlement of the left:
“It’s unsafe for me as a Black woman to RISK flying economy.”
That's the mayor of New Orleans. She dropped $30,000 in TAXPAYER funds on first-class flights to France and Switzerland.
But here's the deal: Rules in the city require the lowest available fare, with upgrades paid out of pocket.
But this woman REFUSES to pay back a single penny.

I was born in 1959, the tear the communism landed in Cuba. I came from a family that helped in many ways the revolution but that very soon realized that it was all a horrible mistake but a family that nonetheless had to wait 10 years to be able to leave in 1970 but who understood it was a mistake and that Cuba was going to suffer deeply as early as 1960. You sadly don’t know what you are talking about and as such should at least keep your opinion to yourself or research before you generalize.
English

@MarcACaputo Yeah, these are the So Florida Kkkubans, a nasty bunch who don’t know or believe in democracy. They all came from the families that supported the fascist General Batista, who was overthrown by Fidel.

Miami Florida has and continue to have exponential building growth compared to the area size and transportation infrastructure, the county is in desperate need of underground transportation posibilites. Miami-Dade has tried to sell the idea of running elevated metrorail system but no one wants that eyesore in front of their properties. If underground, it needs to be an ingenious project able to deal with underground water levels. Any ideas?

JUST IN: Gov. Ron DeSantis slams House leadership @Daniel_PerezFL for refusing to take up legislation on an AI Bill of Rights, medical freedom, and property taxes during the Special Session
@GovRonDeSantis: "The reason they didn't do it is because he is not governing in the best interest of the people of the state of Florida. He has a personal agenda."

@CUPCAKEWILLIAM6 @JenniferJJacobs @CBSNews Good you are for books, in Cuba they can read only the ones approved by government.
English

@JenniferJJacobs @CBSNews So, if America can go against Cuba after a 30-year-old event, then Iraq can go against America after a 23-year-old genocide committed by America ?🤔

SCOOP via @CBSNews: U.S. is taking steps to indict Raúl Castro, the 94-year-old former president of Cuba and brother of Fidel, in connection with the downing of planes 30 years ago, according to U.S. officials familiar with the matter. The potential indictment — which would need to be approved by a grand jury — is expected to focus on Cuba's deadly 1996 shootdown of planes operated by humanitarian group Brothers to the Rescue. @SarahNLynch and me
cbsnews.com/news/us-moving…
English

Please research before posting, they were killed flying planes trying to alert the Coast Guard of people dying in international water. Is that a crime? They were debunking the false advertising narrative of such an idilic and paradisiac place to live and flurish that some useful fools still buy but one where their people are willing to risk dying living in rafts.
English

@JenniferJJacobs @CBSNews indicted for shooting down planes belonging to an organisation that committed acts of terror on Cuban soil?
English

Please do proper research.
Brothers to the Rescue had nothing to do with CIA, just locals trying to help understanding how many people were dying in the waters between Cuba and Florida but infiltrated by Cuban intelligence.
Clinton government knew they were in danger and didn’t do anything to protect US born citizens in international waters, shameful
English

@JenniferJJacobs @CBSNews Weren’t those planes CIA planes and the humanitarian part was just a cover?
English

@TheUnap16592593 @JenniferJJacobs @CBSNews A lot of proposals come and go in the government atmosphere at all times, the important thing is that it was never implemented. What is the point of your statement?
English

@JenniferJJacobs @CBSNews Was anyone ever held accountable for proposing OPERATION NORTH WOODS?
English

@rrp313 @JenniferJJacobs @Phil_Lewis_ @CBSNews It shows you have not done proper research. PAt the time of their killings they were in international waters! This was and continues to be a murder without consequence. Raul must be charged with war crimes.
English

@JenniferJJacobs @Phil_Lewis_ @CBSNews They were flying over Cuban airspace dropping leaflets, no longer in international airspace.
English

Nothing the US does againts the Cuban government is equivalent to the damage this communist regime has done to the US intelligence, the cuban people, the Cuban America community, and the international community to name a few: Uganda, Colombia, Yemen, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Nicaragua, Venezuela, Granada. One of the direct offense to US has been killing of US born citizens in international waters trying to save lives and for which our government did nothing.
Long overdue that Raul gets charged for those crimes. With the help of useful idiots in the US and abroad the Castros have been destabilizing our continent, training international terrorists such as the ETA (Spain), this starting with the Colombia’s Bogotazo in 1948, at that time already Raul was already a member of the communist party. He is indeed a war criminal.
English

Nice attempt of a story spin @CBSNews - What about the endless deadly & sabotaging moves made by the CIA & CIA trained Cuban exiles to Cuba over the past 50+ years?? Hello Bay of Pigs.
USAID funding of Alan Gross, the Travelers Project, or the Zunzuneo Project during the Obama admistration ring any bells?

Every time someone without legal status lands in a hospital ER it gets treated regardless if they can pay or legal status, the same goes for maternity care, hospitals in turn request from government reimbursement by means of Medicaid reimbursement.
Every time an undocumented child uses the public school system is public assistance.
Regardless of the assistance either medical or other it is a government handout to someone not legally in the country.
The first thing Congress should do is to avoid the semantic confusion, maybe that way will gain back public trust.
English

@cutiieepie6 Take it to the bank and get a $10 bill, what is the big deal? $10 in coins is better than nothing!!!
English

Some guy tipped me ten dollars in quarters, and I’m still trying to figure out what kind of person thinks that’s acceptable. I just finished a DoorDash order, and he casually mentions he forgot to tip in the app—which, fine, not ideal, whatever. Then he dramatically pulls out a literal roll of quarters like he’s handing me the crown jewels.
He looks me dead in the eye and says,
“Sorry man, I didn’t tip on the app, this is all I’ve got.”
Yeah, thanks. I love holding a handful of coins like it’s 1998. I don’t use change. I’m not a parking meter. I’m not walking around with rolls of quarters or dumping them into a Coinstar just to get the money I already earned. I took it because arguing over coins isn’t how I planned to spend my day, but that doesn’t make it okay.
Tipping in quarters is peak absurdity. Tip in the app, tip in bills, tip digitally—literally anything that doesn’t involve me schlepping around loose metal. Acting like this is normal? Pure comedy. And yes, no one should ever think a pocketful of coins counts as a tip.

As per Grok: No, Emmanuel Macron has not declared Arabic an official language in France. europeanconservative.com
France’s official language is French, as enshrined in the Constitution (Article 2) since 1992. No decree, law, or official act from Macron or his government has changed this.
What Macron actually said recently
During a visit to Egypt (around early May 2026), Macron stated that Arabic is the second most widely spoken language in France after French. He described this as a demographic reality worth acknowledging, in the context of Mediterranean multilingualism and cultural ties (e.g., hoping French remains cherished in Egypt while noting Arabic speakers in France). linkedin.com
This has gone viral on social media, with some posts exaggerating it as Macron making Arabic a “second official language,” “official throughout the country,” or a major policy shift. These claims are inaccurate or misleading. @mina696645851
Background and context
• Studies (e.g., from 2023) have shown dialectal Arabic as the second most spoken non-French language in France (estimated 3–4 million speakers), ahead of regional languages like Creole, Berber, or Alsatian. europeanconservative.com
• Macron has previously supported expanding Arabic teaching in public schools (under state control) to counter radicalization and private/foreign-influenced programs — part of his broader efforts against separatism (e.g., 2020 speeches). This is about education and integration, not official status. connexionfrance.com
• Older reports (2018–2020) about proposals for more Arabic in schools or “co-officiality” were either limited suggestions or misrepresented; none led to Arabic becoming official. secretnews.fr
In short, Macron highlighted a linguistic fact for diplomatic/cultural reasons, but Arabic is not an official language in France, and there is no indication he has taken steps to make it one. Claims to the contrary appear to stem from viral exaggeration.

I returned to DC in 2024 after 12 years away, I was disgusted with the way the Mall was been kept clearly showing neglect with rotten benches, trees needing proper pruning , graffiti, filthy pond, garbage everywhere; in essence a scene of neglect. Crime goes hand in hand with keeping the area clean and beautiful. I am glad to see it is being addressed. I am no longer living in the area but our capital should be kept appropriately, it is a reflection of the US soul.
Hopefully the area around the White House is also addressed. I was impressed to see how many huge rat boxes were everywhere; I thought I was in NYC instead of DC.

.@POTUS destroys ABC Fake News reporter: "It's such a stupid question that you ask. We're fixing up the Reflecting Pond to the Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, and you say, 'Why are you fixing it up?' Because you can understand dirt maybe better than I can—but I don't allow it."

Cuba negativelly affects US economy and US security with only 90 MILES of distance. Cuba has many infiltrated agents at all US government levels.
Cuba allows communist China to collect information from us being so close to US shores, Cuba has killed 4 US born citizens in international waters trying to save people leaving the island in rafts, some car tires; all ordered by Raul Castro and the US did nothing.
In fact Cuba has a direct negative effect for US taxpayers. Cubans in US send around 8billion dollars yearly back to their families, money that could be spent here in our economy if Cuba was as in 1959 self sustained and prosperous.
Please read your history and how important were the Cubans for George Washington, take a trip to Boston and find out.
English

@nickshirleyy Did you go to Cuba to expose US taxpayer fraud?
Just a coincidence Trump is also talking about Cuba this week?
Not sure if this kid was genuine at first or not, but it sure seems like he's an Epstein Administration propagandist at this point.
English

🚨 I was almost taken hostage in Cuba...
I went to Cuba to document the humanitarian crisis and show life under 60+ years of communism and now amid the US blockade. Once I landed, they seized all my cameras except my iPhone and had intelligence agents following me all day until my security noticed their spies tailing us to the hotel where they waited all night for us to come down.
Under communism there is no free speech, and those who show the reality or speak up are imprisoned. Me going without a planned Cuban government guide nearly got me and my security taken hostage or imprisoned.
The situation in Cuba is much worse than anyone knows.
English

For sure you have no idea of what you are talking about. People like you desrve to
live in a communist country. If you feel safer in Habana vs DC you should move there, it will for sure change your thinking really fast. There is nothing more educating that to have experienced the communist way of life.
English

Thank you for trying to expose the regime. US and the world are naive thinking that Cuba is all what the regime has tried to sell them over the years but when you live there you trully experience what an ill government is capable to do to their people. It is not only starvation, it is the fact that you have no freedom of movement, or speach, you are/have only what the government allows.
Cuba has a parallel dollar economy, you can get what you need in dollars in a country that pays in pesos at officially $400 to $1 and a Dr gets pay the equivalent of $20/month, you do the math.
The health system is broken, Cubans around the world support their families medical needs sending supplies even for surgeries.
Some people think that because they have gone vacationing they have seen the true Cuba, fools that have no eyes but go there to satisfy a vice or to have a dirt cheap vacation; do they ask why is Cuba in that state of deterioration when it was the most prosperous latin american economy in 1959? I have the answer: communism and a family that think Cuba is their own land to control, steal, enslave, to make it their personal bank to become billionaries.
Cuban government is very similar than what happened or it is happening in Syria, Russia, North Korea or even China but at 90 miles from the US coast.
English

More to come from my 24 hours in Cuba soon. You will be absolutely shocked to see the reality. I went without a Cuban government tour guide, so no fluff just the reality hence why they put spies and their intelligence on us.
Support my work on X 🙏🏼 x.com/nickshirleyy/c…
