Last week we unveiled a full-scale model of IBM Quantum System One at Chicago O’Hare In collaboration with @UChicago @UChicagoPME, @APSphysics & @united, this installation celebrates a milestone in quantum: the first IBM quantum computer designed for data centers. With 60,000+ daily visitors, we hope it inspires even more curiosity in quantum computing.

@themsaid is this primarily driven by Lambda 'just' being more expensive per cpu-second? in other words...if Lambda offered the same per cpu-sec price as what you can get via EC2 -- how would the comparison look like?

One month since switching from Lambda to EC2. Cost savings are hundreds of thousands of dollars on annual basis. We haven't used reserved instances yet, and I'm convinced that by moving a few more endpoints from PHP to Go, we could reduce the number of instances to half.

@jim_havrilla out of curiosity -- which aspect about Ray is to you a million times easier than Ray? Given Ray also has a multiprocessing lib, I assume you're using something different than that?

@krishnan The term cloud is defined so broadly these days that serverless at least provides some guiding guardrails, keeping some of the most non-sensical interpretations out of scope
