@mato_fuyu In US English, only 4 is correct. In UK English, it's 1 for being cared for in hospital, and 4 may be used in any situation that he is located inside the hospital

Short answer: ✔️ 1 and 4 are correct — but they mean different things. Explanation 1. He is in hospital ✅ Correct in British English Implies he is admitted as a patient No article is used when referring to the function (treatment) 2. He is at hospital ⚠️ Grammatically possible, but rare and unnatural Usually means being at the hospital location, not necessarily admitted Less commonly used than in hospital / in the hospital 3. He is on hospital ❌ Incorrect in standard English “On” is not used with hospital 4. He is in the hospital ✅ Correct in American English Can mean: He is admitted as a patient, or He is physically inside the building (visitor, staff, patient) Quick rule to remember 🇬🇧 British English → in hospital 🇺🇸 American English → in the hospital Both are correct — context and dialect matter.

@evilestboywife @_Lakyr @rosmarymouse @All_Lee24 I mean, the puzzle is figuring out how to dodge their moves without getting hit. If you just tried to react without learning the moveset, you wouldn't get very far. I'm curious, which bosses do you categorise as 'an enemy in a vast flat empty arena with no puzzle elements'?

@_Lakyr @rosmarymouse @All_Lee24 I wont say theyre terrible bossfights or that its a necessarily bad thing to do, but out of the 15 base elden ring rememberance bosses, 9 of them are just an enemy in a vast flat empty arena with no real puzzle elements whatsoever

The “git gud” bros made it so that souls games have a vibe of being unfairly cruel and sadistic, when in reality they’re doing the anime fight “I won’t hold back” thing so that you feel accomplished when you succeed knowing the game was taking you completely seriously
part-time dog 🦋🔆@ourmartyredlady

years of brainless 'git gid' posting has entirely distracted from a simple reality: art that meaningfully challenges it's audience is good and important. accessibility is not intrinsically good fromsoft games aren't even the best example of that!

@OliverJia1014 It looks like the bread has crusts. I don't think I've ever seen a konbini sandwich with crusts but I've only been in Japan for 30+ years so I may have missed seeing sandwiches with crusts.

@legend96_96 @EmmanuelAcho @gregolsen88 There is no “rest of game strategy” the game is over at that point! Done. You’ve lost. I guess you’re saying it’s better to know that earlier than later?

But @gregolsen88, the data you supplied may not be inaccurate, it’s just irrelevant. Of course 3 & outs are forced at a higher clip when down by more than 2 scores. Opposing offenses will be more conservative, because— you have to score twice. You’re trying to apply off the rack analytics to a tailor made game. Let’s focus on the Eagles game. Forcing a 3 and out down by 9 is irrelevant, because they would still need to force *another 3 and out* or worse, recover an onside kick (4.7% chance.) I would rather have a 46% chance of forcing a 3 and out, being down by 1 score, then a 51% chance of forcing a 3 and out being down by 2 scores, with no timeouts. Thinks about it, after your 51% chance of forcing a 3 and out (down by 2 scores) you still have to force another 3 and out, or recover an onside kick. More relevant data (@NextGenStats,) would be providing the odds a team forces back to back 3 and outs, when down by +9 then the following possession when down by +1-3. That is if you are trying to disprove the obvious reality that motivation and hope play a factor on defense and in sports.
Greg Olsen@gregolsen88

The notion defenses play better bc they remain “hopeful”, “motivated” or have the “momentum” is simply not supported by reality. Defenses actually force 3 and outs at a HIGHER rate down 9+ then they do 8+ This is over the last 25 years, teams trailing final 4min of regulation Source @NextGenStats

@A_Wags24 @EmmanuelAcho @gregolsen88 Not to mention by going for 2 early, if you actually get it then you have the option to use all the 'momentum' you built up to go for 2 again after the 2nd TD and win it without needing OT.

@EmmanuelAcho @gregolsen88 By going early you also give yourself 2 shots at recovering an onside kick vs 1. Between that and needing a stop in both examples, this 4% difference is probably the single biggest Win Probability Added event you can control.

The premise of the 2pt conversation is we have been beaten over the head with the notion being down 8 is a 1 possession game. We need to educate the way the game is played 7pts- 1 score game 94% of the time 8pts- 1 score game 43% of the time Treat 8 pts as 2 possessions. Cleans it up

@billbarnwell Everyone knows you have better odds of making a 2 point conversion later than earlier because the comeback team makes a smoothie blended with hope, emotion, and momentum which magically increases their odds of making a 2 pt conversion later in the game than earlier.

Can't believe we're still doing this, but going for two on the first touchdown down 15 isn't "analytics". The numbers don't change at all. It's information. Fail on the two-pointer and you're probably screwed either way regardless of when you take it. Choose to go for two on the first one and even if you fail, you've at least got hope to get an extra possession with an onside kick, as the Cowboys did in 2020 (youtube.com/watch?v=Y2bu5q…) Delaying the tough decision until the second TD and failing means you have absolutely no hope. It's just delaying the risk.

@gregolsen88 That’s just not true it’s a 1 possession game These percentages of conversions are irrelevant because it doesn’t take in to account momentum and how you are playing that day But going for two and missing is 100 percent a two possession game

@jacorrao2 @minakimes You need a 2 pt conv. Now, or after a TD at the end of the game. Wait til the end of the game and don't get it? Oh, you lost, that sucks. Nothing you can do. Go for it now and don't get it? OK, let's try an onside kick, maybe you can get lucky, or at least know what you need

@Rob_Starrk @minakimes No it isn't? You HAVE to get a 2 point conversion at some point. Better to know if you got it right away, that way you know if you need to go for an onside kick or not. It's not even up for debate here.
