Today, I had the opportunity to visit the Renert school. I have many constituents whose children study at the school and it was a pleasure to have a full scale tour for the first time since 2013, which is when this school first opened. The Renert School is one of Calgary’s leading mathematics schools and it is also known for its commitment to innovative education. I was delighted to see the dance studio, the art classes, the martial arts lessons, and the musical theatre, all of which aptly describe a very well rounded and holistic curriculum. Many thanks to Aaron and Moshe Renert for the tour, the feedback and the invitation to come back to share some information on Advanced Education with the students.

She refused.

Been hearing the word choice being used a lot lately in education. The word has a lot of meaning, can be used in a variety of ways. But let's look at the government's use of choice when it comes to budget--Alberta students are the lowest funded in Canada. Bad choice.

Yes, we can commission such competitive study when you find me a private school where 30% of students are traumatized refugees with no prior schooling, who don’t speak English. Where kids come to school hungry and parents have no formal education.
