@LiMeEv Has anyone tracked growth rates based on gender? Pretty sure girls grow faster at a younger age, how does that factor into “fair play”

@unhappycanuck @Pretefunkera @maddenifico Contemplate this: Purpose of feeding children is so they can grow physically AND mentally. Physical-obvi explanation Mental-so able/ready to learn ALSO mental, by providing for all, no one is wasting brain power thinking about what peers think. Small cost for everyone to absorb.

@Pretefunkera @maddenifico If a kid is hungry yes by all means let them eat. I’m all for school meal programs but why should a taxpayer pay for a meal for my child when I can afford to supply that to them?

It is unfortunate the former President of the AMA seems focused on needlessly scaring Albertans by using misinformation. AHS has confirmed that the Stollery has NOT cancelled surgeries. Everyday my focus as Minister remains on working with our outstanding healthcare professionals to make our system stronger
Alberta Health Services@AHS_media

@PfParks AHS has confirmed that the Stollery Children’s Hospital has not cancelled any surgeries. All scheduled surgeries are proceeding, as are all emergent and urgent surgeries.

Just a reminder before the Premier's televised announcement that the Alberta gov't chooses to fund our public education system the least. That they choose not to provide the resources for our students. They love to talk about choice, and this is one they should be ashamed about.

When we go to work every day, the wages, benefits and working conditions are not benevolently given to us. They have been fought for and earned. Over history through political gains and union wins, the plight of workers have continued to improve. Happy Labour Day to all workers.

@ReidWilkins @Rob_Tychkowski None of those things happened on that play. I mean the oilers player did two of those three things but Peterson was just standing there when a guy skated into him and jumped.

@GlobalCalgary People complain, complain, complain. Finally taking approaches with out of the box thinking instead of following the same pattern & guess what? People still complain. Would you prefer she just hand out money to look popular but not solve any issues like Trudeau

Alberta Premier Danielle Smith says it’s a good idea to have a physician who accused the province of exaggerating COVID-19's impact on hospitals now lead a review of pandemic-era health data. READ MORE: trib.al/4rhVhzf trib.al/4rhVhzf

Reality: As stated in our news conference earlier today, STF has not rejected the offer. We were presented with it Monday and there has been significant back-and-forth on it—in other words, negotiation. Read more: stf.sk.ca/about-stf/news… (2/2)

@RachelNotley Mmmhmm, deny them access to federal coverage for diabetes medication, then blame them because they are not managing their diabetes. Makes perfect sense. Why does the UCP consistently employ the worst excuses for human beings?

This morning, Chelsae Petrovic was given the opportunity to apologize for saying that people having heart attacks “come into the hospital and all of a sudden it’s everyone else’s problem but their own.” She refused. Albertans deserve better. They also deserve an apology. #ableg #abpoli

Been hearing the word choice being used a lot lately in education. The word has a lot of meaning, can be used in a variety of ways. But let's look at the government's use of choice when it comes to budget--Alberta students are the lowest funded in Canada. Bad choice.

Yes, we can commission such competitive study when you find me a private school where 30% of students are traumatized refugees with no prior schooling, who don’t speak English. Where kids come to school hungry and parents have no formal education. #ableg Let’s compare outcomes.

@MrKapitalist @LukaszukAB Like your interest in this topic, some ppl are interested in specific fields (don’t always translate into an occupation)In the guise of ensuring we have reproductive energy, I don’t think we should limit education. There are plenty of, dare I say it, social policies that can help

@mikkel_one @LukaszukAB Maybe at the professional program level because there are barriers to increase professional salaries, which is a different argument about how many doctors or lawyers we want as a society and how much they should earn, but how many polisci degrees are mandatory to run society?
