School fee season is here. Most people just pay it. Smart ones optimise it. I added an Education spends comparison for the Big 4. Paid my full-year school fees via Magnus Burgundy and got 1 month fee waived by the school (~8.33%) ~14% effective returns via AEP month Same payment. Very different outcome. which card you choosing to pay School fee?

@man1sh_golcha Juice the AEP to the max 👍 Our school doesn’t give any discounts for upfront payments unfortunately. That was the first thing I asked.

@milespointspro Awesome strategy. I delayed most of my Jan / Feb spends for March. Paying school fee in March only although deadline is 10Apr. Doing this as Foreign trip is planned in March. BTW .. you also get any waiver from school end by paying annual fee upfront?

❤️ Incredible. The Australian coastline is peppered with small towns like these. Perfect for road trips 🚘 📍 Tasman Drive, Gerringong (about 2hrs from Sydney). 🏨 Mercure Gerringong Resort is located in the vicinity. Sebel Kiama is less than 20 minutes away.

@imYadav31 While travelling abroad, I’m never relying on one card. Usually carry the Olympus, MagnusB, Infinia and the Amex Plat Charge card + one Debit card (plus wife’s add on cards). Cannot rely on just one card. Olympus is the main, rest as per situation.

Best of both worlds = Peace of mind ✌️ Keeping rewards aside for a minute…real game is FOREX for both cards💳🌍 Imagine landing in another country…card declines…you standing there like “bhai ek aur try karo” 😭 That’s why I always say.....carry multiple forex-friendly cards. Banks randomly flag transactions…no warning…no mercy. Have hundreds of such posts on X. @milespointspro sir know what I am referring to. And btw…eternal question....Eterna is LTF till 31st march…What after 31st march??? 👀

@milespointspro That's how it was sold to me 😀. My friend was getting married in Australia on 10th Jan, and said that you have to attend the fireworks... It is bucket list thing. Turned out to be spectacular! Had to crash on his couch though! 😂

The ticketing has stopped except for a couple of spots afaik. Now they’re free and open to public and folks queue up as early as 3-4 am to get inside the best spots, and squat there for almost 20+ hours. Crazy!! Paid events now at restaurants, bars, cruises and at SOH (this one is pricey but would be amazing).

🎇 Top tip for anyone planning NYE in Sydney… Start your planning early!! 📧 Already receiving emails to prebook for this year-end! 🇦🇺 NYE in Sydney is surely not for the budget conscious. But one way to get a slightly better deal is by planning early. ✌️ A couple of years ago I started planning for the NYE in SYD in August and noticed a lot of the best stuff, spots and hotels were either too crazily priced… or just no longer available.

@ankitdewan The fireworks are incredible. This show has gotten even more packed and hotels and events around even more expensive from what I’m seeing. We stayed at the Swissotel. Took us about 30 minutes to walk back from the end of The Rocks.

@milespointspro I had gone there on NYE in 2017. Had to crash on a friend's couch as there was simply nothing available. But the fireworks were simply amazing. We took the train to the harbour.
