Just dropped my 2026 model Y performance off at Tesla Service Center for obvious vibration starting around 75 mph and progressively getting worse up to 85 mph. Has anybody else experienced this. My loaner is a 26 Model 3 standard range and I’m feeling a similar shake in the steering wheel around those speeds

@SawyerMerritt Many states already charge a ~$200 annual registration fee for EVs which is earmarked for state-funded road & bridge projects. Why should we be taxed even more? ICE vehicle owners need to pay their fair share, too. The responsibility to make up the shortfall shouldn't be on us.

U.S. House lawmakers have proposed bipartisan legislation that would require electric vehicles to pay a $130 fee to pay for road repairs annually and $35 for some plug-in hybrid models.
The House is working on a five-year highway reauthorization bill expected to cost more than $500 billion ahead of the current law expiration on Sept 30, 2026. Most revenue for federally funded road repairs is collected through diesel and gasoline taxes, which EVs do not pay.
I think $130 is fair since over time there will be fewer gas vehicles on the road generating tax revenue, They'll need to make up the difference somewhere so they can keep repairing roads, etc.

@AmericanAir could clear upgrades but they won’t because the priority is no longer loyal customers but a few extra dollars.
FWIW… I already have 310K loyalty points for the status year. 🤷🏻♂️

PSA: That upgrade offer from your airline might be (& probably is) a rip-off.
For instance, AA is teasing a $290 upgrade to first class on an upcoming flight.
But by instead CHANGING my flight & rebooking in first class on that exact same flight, it's just $88.

Even worse in Jan I paid for 2 years on my cyberbeast because I had basically a year and a half left on the lease. Tesla gave me an insane deal on trading it in this month and we got a MY performance. Can’t transfer the plate from a truck to a car and they won’t refund any of the money and made me pay again on the Y

SpaceX is increasing the price of Starlink Standby Mode to $10/month (from $5/month). Standby Mode allows users to "pause" their service for a reduced fee while maintaining a, low-speed, 500 Kbps connection for essential, low-bandwidth tasks.
