Day 42: Road to $100k/month Hit a pretty big personal milestone today. This is on ~$3700 in spend across Meta and Google ads with over $4k in profit... With all of the extreme ups and downs of ecom, I've learned to not get so high during the highs and not get so low during the lows... So we just keep moving and keep pushing hard. We're hitting some pretty annoying supply chain and cash flow issues unfortunately. Shopify is holding payouts for 7 days but then they're not actually paying out the full amount of sales... So I've got nearly $25k in cash tied up in my balance while $3-$4k of adspend is posting daily to my credit card. Meanwhile, I'm pre-paying for inventory and topping up shipping and fulfillment costs... So I'm upside down... The part in ecom no one really likes to talk about haha. That's why when I see guys driving a lambo or supercar after a few months of ecom, my BS detector goes off like crazy. Unless you've exited or have crazy credit terms, you're not sitting on piles of cash... So I'm negotiating with my agent now to see if they will give us net 7 terms on the shipping at least. Also looking into another traditional 3PL and sourcing this product myself which will shave off nearly 30% of the cost. Lastly, considering all of the posts I'm seeing daily of people getting their Shopify accounts frozen, I'm looking into other payment providers. Question is, will that help us actually get the payouts faster too? If anyone knows and can chime in, would appreciate it! Probably not scaling budgets anymore until we get these kinks sorted. All part of the game!
