@MrMiniHolland @BristolCycling @jesyread @BristolCouncil The sign in the photo by the cemetery is works by Bristol Water. There is also a second set of works just appeared just past the Thunderbolt today, cycle lane closed with a Cyclist Dismount sign - that’s National Grid.

Do works need to give justification for this signage on the Bath Road? It's before a set of temp lights and bus lane closure. It seems excessive! Yes advisory/ ignore it etc- but this could feed the public impression that all cyclists are rule breakers? @BristolCycling

@EdPlowden @BristolCycling @EllieFreemanBS3 @bristoljerome Thank you for trying to get improvements. I’ve just ridden diversion. Only got lost once! A lot of the signage has already been toppled. The rest is rather… enigmatic, with no real clue as to the end destinations of the diversion. The purpose of the signs at GS Park is baffling.

@BristolCycling Really good to get out and look at all the options for the Festival Way diversion with two local Green councillors @EllieFreemanBS3 @bristoljerome and @BristolCycling . Sadly none of them are particularly good and we will have to look at the least bad.

Thanks to @Edplowden for inviting Bristol Cycling to join the inspection of the diversion at Festival Way yesterday evening. We hope after the visit & discussion urgent improvements to the route, signage and comms will occur. And lessons will be learnt for the future
