Ride the wave, don’t fight the ocean.
It’s easier to grow when consumer demand is naturally higher.
Every product has seasonal waves. Your job is to know them and ride them.
For us, socks spike in Q1 and Q4.
Q1 is fueled by New Year’s resolutions. People are focused on fitness, routines, and fresh starts.
Q4 is gifting season. Weather gets colder, and people start thinking about socks again.
Q2 slows down. Q3 is the quietest.
Customers have what they need. They’re outside, barefoot, or just not buying.
I used to fight it.
I’d overspend, over-extend, and stress. I thought I was doing something wrong.
But I’ve learned you can’t outwork seasonality.
The market moves in waves. Some months will surge. Others will stall.
It’s not always your fault. And it’s not always fixable.
Ride the wave when it’s there. Rest when it’s not.
Over time, expand your product or market to flatten the curve.
But until then, don’t burn out paddling against the tide.
Let the calm be your recovery. The next swell is coming.

Today it’s a ton of referrals and inbound as well as in place account growth.
