California is preventing insurance companies from canceling home coverage for LA wildfire victims in impacted zip codes over the next year. The folks in these communities have suffered enough. They should not have to deal with the stress of home insurance on top of it all.

I believe you are correct, 99% chance. Same thing that happened with ACA/Obamacare. Insurance is a HIGHLY-regulated industry. They have actuaries calculating risks and prices all day everyday to maintain the levels they need to be solvent in the event of a major disaster. When you force them to take on risks that they don’t want to, it causes the prices to skyrocket for everyone else. But it’s easy to bankrupt an industry like that by simply making them take on risks they don’t want. Then, the almighty government can swoop in and say, “We have a solution, just let us do it.” Absolutely. You are on target. Cloward-Piven sort of strategy and the Marxists are exceptional at tugging on heart strings to accomplish it.
