@mmmseogood @googlesearchc @JohnMu It is an additional signal for pages google thinks contain product reviews. And rules can change. I would always recommend doing “sensible” things, but the best practices are things we have found users value (when sensible)

@glenngabe @vgregoire General search traffic remained relatively stable but Discover nose dived right around the end of January. I suppose it could have been in that 2 week "roll out" period, but idk. Seems suspect. We're talking 10s of thousands of Discover clicks per day to nothing overnight.

@mmmseogood @vgregoire Did it drop with the January core update? If so, you can definitely see impact in Discover when a site sees impact from a broad core update. This situation was specific to the indexing bug.

Since the 8/11 indexing bug, there are some news publishers that saw Discover traffic completely flatline in certain countries. Very interesting to see Discover traffic *return* for this specific publisher now that Google is fixing the canonical bug + mobile indexing bug.

@glenngabe @vgregoire Hey Glenn, do you have more details on the bug that was fixed for Discover? I have a similar thing going on with a client but their Discover traffic dropped at the beginning of the year. Now we're seeing it return around end of September.

I thought this was great and wanted to share a similar process! Layout is a little different but I have added a year-to-date average trend column so we can see how the year is trending for each keyword - helps identify if it's hot or not. Thanks @mmmseogood @sengineland #SEO
