This patch requires CMO and CM 's attention. They have intervened on many complex matters and I am sure they will look into WEH infamous traffic at Vakola both side and Vile Parle both sides flyover and then further upto Dahisar both sides. Mr Piyush Goyal had mentioned when he was contesting Loksabha election about WEH traffic. Also they all understand building random flyovers is not solution to WEH traffic. What is needed is a micro level tactical interventions such as green light signal duration, potholes , clearing service roads etc. They should not hesitate in taking advice from specialists. @CMOMaharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis @PiyushGoyal

@MTPHereToHelp massive traffic jam on Delistle road flyover N M Joshi Marg southbound towards Lower parel Monorail station and towards Curry road railway station. Massive jam and only 25 seconds green signal. Please tell the traffic police to allow the vehicles to pass beyond 25 seconds. The road ahead can take more vehicles. Today it is massive. Everyday traffic is there but today is massive.

Is 2A and 2B (when full operational) seamless or passengers will have to get down at Andheri from 2A and do interchange to get into 2B. Similarly Gundavali metro will straight go to Mira road or passengers will have to get down at Dahisar. Also 2A will end at Dahisar ? And do interchange to another metro for going to Mira road ?

Exactly, this is a real issue unless the whole coach is booked and even people in smaller groups talking loudly, people watching reels and social media loudly and news loudly in trains is a real issue. A campaign similar to "Swatch Bharat" is needed such as "Shor mat Kariye, mobile earplug se suniye, dusre log bhi hai train main".

@Ananth_IRAS It's good when they book an entire coach. It is absolute hell for other passengers when wedding party books multiple berths inside a bogey. Had the misfortune of travelling with a large group like this once. They didn't care about our sleep or our privacy.

@mannkibaat @MannKiBaat_PMO @RailMinIndia @RailwaySeva @AshwiniVaishnaw Loud talking in trains with others and on phone, seeing reels and social media, music with loud voice are two problems that are common across all trains. Many times people book premium AC train tickets with the hope that such noise will not be there, but it is there everywhere. A large scale campaign and periodic announcement in train will help. Can this be a next topic at Mann ki Baat.

The Elphinstone Bridge mismanagement saga continues! After shutting it down on 13 September 2025, @MMRDAOfficial promised a swift completion of demolition so the Worli-Sewri Elevated Connector could be completed (two years after its original opening date of early 2023). Four months after the bridge was shut, in January, a disagreement over the number of hours required led to cancellation of a mega block. Two weeks ago, a crane glitch was blamed. On Friday, demolition of Haji Noorani Chawl and Laxmi Niwas began, but there’s still no date in sight for railway shutdowns that will allow the bridge to be dismantled! To add insult to injury, while this delay goes on, Sion Bridge and Parel TT Northbound Bridge are also shut down simultaneously - creating traffic jams of epic proportions. The project deadline for Elphinstone Bridge keeps shifting - from August to September to December 2026. Will contractors be held liable for the delay? Or MMRDA? Or the Railways? Or will the buck be passed round and round - and the only one paying the price will be ordinary Mumbaikars?

Yes that exactly is my point. Borivali delay by 35 minutes but Mumbai central delay by only 2 minutes. How come ? Should Mumbai central delay also not be 35 minutes ? But it is only 2 minutes. The 2 minutes is being measured after keeping extra half and hour buffer in the official schedule. I hope you are able to understand my point.

Haphazard and unplanned road digging, random construction of flyover with ignored last mile connectivity, poor roads, improving coordination with MMRDA and other agencies, bringing foresightedness in various projects, having professional contractors , doing project with abundance mindset and not cutting the corners and not compromising last mile things are few topics in front of the new commissioner. Mr Gagrani tried his best and navigated BMC through elections. All the best to him.

And it’s a wrap for @mybmc commissioner Bhushan Gagrani, who retires tomorrow. Took a moment today to wish him well. Appointed in March 2024, Gagrani completes a full two-year tenure that saw Mumbai navigate the Lok Sabha, Assembly and long-pending civic elections.

We pay high prices for Vande Bharat train and also to save time but such delays are frustrating. I also want to draw your attention that one hour scheduled time is shown between Borivali and Mumbai Central for this train but today after a delay of 35 minutes at Borivali, the train managed to reach Mumbai Central in half an hour. Thus it is shown that it almost reached Mumbai central on time (despite 35 min delay at Borivali) Why one hour buffer is kept between Borivali and Mumbai as per the scheduled timetable but the train can travel in 30 minutes between Borivali and Mumbai Central . Is this half an hour is a hidden buffer ? Please look into this ?

Good news for Mumbaikars ! Making Mumbai Metro more convenient for commuters. Strengthening last-mile connectivity through digital mobility integration. Metro tickets can now be booked directly through the Uber app via ONDC, helping citizens plan their journeys easily and connect seamlessly with last-mile transport options. Metro ticketing is already available across several ONDC platforms including Yatri, Ixigo, Navi, EMT, Tummoc, Tripozo, One Ticket, Autope, Magicpin, Chalo, RedBus, Highway Delite and Pelocal. With Mumbai One App, Mumbai One Card, WhatsApp ticketing, and now Uber integration, commuters have multiple convenient ways to access Metro services. At the same time, BEST bus connectivity, foot overbridges and parking facilities near Metro stations are being strengthened to make the first-mile and last-mile journey easier. The feature will initially be available for Metro Lines 2A and 7, with Lines 9 and 2B to follow. Our focus remains simple — making daily travel easier, smoother and more convenient for Mumbai’s commuters. @Uber_India #MumbaiMetro #MumbaiInMinutes #RebootingMumbai #ReshapingMMR #MetroNetwork

Thank you for raising this. Absence of coordination beyween BMC and MMRDA further leads to delays. Also absence of mindset for a "quick solution" delays the solution. The random flyovers built have further aggravated the traffic. Now when I hear any new flyover a thought comes to my mind whether it will be well thought thru or will it be a random flyover. Random flyover means no lane planning , signals immediately after getting down, the backlog at the beginning of the flyover etc. Also the duration of traffic lights need to be relooked at. Small baby steps can also help in solving traffic. Also take inputs from local residents.

Day by day, the problem of traffic congestion in Mumbai is becoming increasingly severe. Reckless practices such as driving in the wrong direction and jumping traffic signals are contributing to a rise in accidents, raising serious concerns about public safety. Today, through a Point of Propriety (Matter of Urgent Public Importance), I drew the attention of the House to this serious issue. #MahaBudget2026 #trafficmanagement #ParkingIssue #MahaBudgetSession2026 #AslamShaikh #Maharashtra 📍विधान भवन, मुंबई
