Bandi Bageerath Case Update: Day 11 After his surrender/arrest in the POCSO case, Bandi Bageerath, son of Union Minister X, was lodged in Cherlapally prison late Saturday night. Telangana Police discovered that Bageerath wiped his phone clean and destroyed evidence immediately after the FIR was filed against him. He started using a new mobile phone. Police have filed cases against 14 social media influencers who revealed the victim's details. Yesterday, police summoned Bageerath’s friends who were present when the offence took place. They were questioned for more than two hours. Police also examined CCTV footage from the farmhouse and questioned the staff working there. Today, police are likely to file a custody petition seeking 10 days’ custody of the accused. Bandi Bageerath’s mother visited him at Cherlapally prison yesterday for mulakhat. 25 year old Bandi Bageerath befriended the 17 year old victim, about 8 months ago.
